New to SAS Visual Analytics? Just received a new data source? Not sure where to begin? This video introduction to SAS Visual Analytics 8.5 in SAS Viya highlights its extremely attractive and intuitive point-and-click, drag-and-drop user interface, showcasing how easy and fun it is to use. In just over an hour, we’ll have you diving into your data, uncovering its hidden patterns, trends and relationships, laying bare your data’s secrets. We’ll begin with a survey of our example data’s properties and classification roles. We’ll generate instant statistics, create a new calculated data item, and filter our data. We’ll create a colorful report with a crosstab, pie chart and word cloud. Finally, we’ll add a button bar, drop-down list and slider to interactively and dynamically filter our report: fun, fast and easy with SAS Visual Analytics!

We also have Forecasting and Econometric classes which you can review here: 2.sas.com/6051zd5tx ; in particular, the SAS Viya Forecasting courses are: Forecasting Using Model Studio in SAS Viya and Large-Scale Forecasting Using SAS Viya: A Programming Approach. These classes represent approximately 4.5 days of training, so there is a lot of in-depth content in the classes that you would not find in the tutorials. And, you might want to search the webinars in the Ask the Expert archive, here: 2.sas.com/6052zd5tI to find webinars that we've held on Viya topics.

Gyujin, All reporting in SAS Visual Analytics is performed against data that is in memory. The 2.sas.com/6058zRKwO table was loaded into memory before the instructor started the demo. IF you want to point to some resources, we do have several other free tutorial videos you can point out in your response, this is one of them, but again, without knowing what other software they have, it's hard to point things out, but this gives you an idea that the tables have to loaded into memory. Understanding Caslibs and Loading Data in SAS® Viya™ You can also google "loading data in sas viya for visual analytics" to get a list of the various tutorial that discuss this. Bottomline, the data has to be loaded into memory before it can be used in Visual Analytics in SAS Viya.

make SAS looks like a cheap version of powerBI, not sure charts and reporting is ever SAS's strong hold

@@SASUsers I'm a long time user of SAS, it's just sad to see SAS moving into the cloud domain and completed abundant it's home ground, SAS used to be very easy to use, now Viya is troublesome to use and not very intuitive.
