OMG!!! My favorite seafood! I just had some amazing scallops Thursday night. They are fresh flown in every day and harvested by actual scuba divers that hand pick off of the ocean floor! Now I want to try Hokkaido scallops! I'm drooling now. Lol!
Shizuka, it's funny, I recently finished another video you had hosted on the same topic, but I don't mind watching this one also. Your bright cheerful disposition makes you a excellent spokesperson for Japanese travel and culture 😊😊
Finally, I received my new iPhone and you’re right my week is not complete without seeing Japan buy food with Shizuoka Amderson I’m still in the hospital, but trust and believe I always am watching
You can really tell the Australian chef does not understand where his scallops come from and why they come from there, he only knows the region’s name, basically he’s saying cause it’s famous/ well known that why I chose Hokkaido. Where as the Japanese chef really understands his ingredient, he gave thorough explanation.
Shizuka I wanted to make sure I watched the NHK video also. You are a perfect host for Japanese food and culture. Thanks again for another video. Yes I do love scallops 😊
Hokkaido scallops are the best! I just got back from Japan, from my honeymoon. Hokkaido was our journey and Otaru was our first stop. I tried a grilled soy sauce and butter scallop for dinner, then another for breakfast; both were exactly as described in this video! Their scallops are large, springy, meaty and sweet. Definitely try it out! 🤤👍
The scallops in Hokkaido are the most delicious, aren't they? They were often sent from their parents' house in Aomori across the sea a long time ago. They're really delicious, aren't they 🎉
Hi Shizuka, excellent series! Just wondering, is "actually" your favourite word coz starting from 0:10 , you used it very often within seconds of each other. Keep the videos coming!
Today's video was wonderful! Thank you so much for today's video 😊 Such spectacular sceneries and love it ❤ Shizuka-san is amazing as always 🥰 God bless 🙏🏻
Nice grilling, nice tacos, excellent drinks & nice scallops! Noan in Shibuya seems like a must-eat place in the night lights. Thank you, Shizuka and the production team; you are the best!
Guys, gosh. I miss Japan so much. Last I was there with my family was back in 2019 December. Hopefully one of this time I can visits again Japan but now all this latest youtube video about Japan to satisfy me.
Hokkaido Hotate (Scallops) taste very good and nutritious. I want people all over the world to eat as much as they can and also, of course, I'd like to have as much hotate as possible to prove its safety.
Uhhh, Japan's food is getting fancy on NHK World, and Shizuka is gaining a great reputation! You're my favorite Japanese food series, and I'm being honest because, you've never gave my any prize!😝😝😉😉
That second scallop dish was a full scam.. basically 20 AUD for 2 scallops with a bit of avocado puree and bacon "dust"... That first set was 50 and came with bulk scallops and other meats and veg plus the taco stuff... That third place was like $7 per 4 whole scallops TF? That being said the beer was 680 yen so they make their money back in other ways. Where beer is like $2 per at a bottle shop.
Seafood needs to be frozen at -35c for 24 hours, or -20c for 7 days to make it safe to eat raw. Whether it’s ceviche or tuna tataki you should always use sashimi grade seafood to make any raw preparation. Anthony Bourdain’s favourite sushi restaurant Yasuda used a medical grade blast freezer to prepare his fish.
would be great and educational if you could elaborate on the advanced freezing process, or any explanations that require technical knowledge in your videos.
I wonder if this video was produced as China stopped importing Japanese sea food because of the release of Fukushima "Water" to the ocean. This channel liked to support or they were requested to support the scallops industry which was especially hit hard by that sanction. This is nothing but my pure assumption, but it seems to be so timely. I am not saying that this is wrong.
Thank you for this video ! Love scallops ! A question regarding bbq courses in Japanese restaurants : they often offer courses from around 5 or 6,000 yens and specify it is "from 4 persons". Is it the price PER person or for a group of 4 ? Thank you !
I’m going to Hokkaido next time I’m in Japan and I’m so excited to try everything! Also Shizuka, I always love your reactions to food cause that would totally be me too ☺️😂
Another great video, they all look so delicious! I'd be very interested to have a deep fried scallop. That would be something new for me, and they looked so crispy and good!
lovin' the colors since the opening, and feelin' the Summer vibes 4:13, amazing food as always, I have no doubt the scallops taste super fresh, I want to try them all
