I was just in a regular Auchenai Crypts run in TBC Classic with someone who was treating it like a server first raid, so now this kind of shit isn't that surprising to me anymore.
No idea who divinity is duno why this video was recommended to me but safe to say I'm fascinated after being 1 min in and here for the full video now lol
bro im in a top 250 US guild and no one acts like this at that level as well. I can't even imagine having this mentality at a casual level. Pure delusional.

The GM approached the situation with pure aggression, meaning his ego was involved. He didn't put forward any rational arguments, didn't call out legitimately bad behaviors and ask for them to be rectified. He was vague, angry, and put forward no message other than basically 'fuck you'.
The amount of effort and time a good raid leader puts in to raiding is a lot. I completely understand his frustration and tbh I think he was quite cool. We're not dealing with children or employees, we're talking about full grown adults that can't follow basic instruction while really they should've done their own research. I don't know the full story of this guild drama but from seeing this video and knowing some of the drama we experience, I know there isn't just one side to this story.
Sometimes you need to be more toxic/angry when people don't liste and still be retards. So i fully understand him, if people think he was being rude and don't understand him then they should stick to super duper casual guilds instead that focus more on raid RP than killing bosses.

This is insane. When we got Cutting Edge on N'zoth, it happened after months of drama leading up to and during the prog of that boss. Our RL was a nice, positive person and by the end of it even he started to feel frustrated and defeated. Despite that, he never once talked to a single person like this(even if they were the problem), let alone openly to an entire raid.
While doing "12" hour shifts, really 14 hours, on my work days I still put in 4-6 hours and on my off days it was an easy 16 hours minimum. 10 hours aint shit.
It's not WoW, in his life he thinks he should be better so he takes it out in the game. I have mild thoughts of this at my job but he's so far gone he's screwed.
Not trying to necro, but the story is pretty great. He left? or got kicked? Then tried to make his own guild. Which he had the exact same thing happen again and he literally disbanded the guild mid pull on one of the bosses. He then trialed with my guild, shortly after our Raid lead got word of him, but decided to give him a chance until he did something stupid. With in a week, he was talking to one of our officers who had just returned from taking a break and he didn't know it was an officer and was slandering our raid lead talking mad trash trying to get players to leave with him so we kicked him. But our recruitment guys see him on recruitment channels all the time, so I'm assuming word is out on him now.
its both parties fault. a lot of the times the raid team does straight up suck lol. ours was getting mad af on sludge and i took lead and shotcalled melee dps on heroic and we eventually killed it. every team has a ceiling and u have to recognize that. my team that cud barely kill sludge was mostly revamped/kicked and we got to 7/10 M on castle. shouldnt act like this but i understand how people could get frustrated.
When this happens in guilds i'm in, i always grab popcorn and just let them talk it out. I don't see why some people / raidleaders etc force people to stay kind or whatever at all times. I once had a Raid Leader who wouldn't allow us to use toys, doing end bosses we wasn't even close to, or even do bosses we had already killed that noone needed loot from. So eventually the Guild Leader did the call and just kicked him out of the guild, but forgot to do it on the Discord. It was a funny day to hear him rage out.
this randomly showed up in my feed, this starfrost guy (same discord picture) trialed for my guild a month or two ago. he wasn't playing well on heroic sylv farm, got sat, freaked out and left

My guild jump into normal CN a week after launch, we only down 5 boss, but we all had fun, then we went to live our lives and are still happy. The end.
I built my community with the opposite energy this guy gives. With the understanding that we are all adults with lives, careers, families, and don't have time for drama over a video game. Because at the end of the day, we are playing with pixels. It shouldn't be that serious.

My guild hit a wall in normal first week, said they were gonna try to be a mythic guild. We had similar issues of gearing and just not good players, RL didnt act like a child and eventually we got better players and progressed. AOTC took almost 150 pulls but we never ran into this kinda crap. Especially in a Normal run there is no excuse for this kind of behavior. I would have left on the spot
Great Video. I have been raiding for a long time finally had enough of it. This gave me flashbacks of all the crap that guilds I have been in. The funniest thing to me is when guilds try to talk about parses in Heroic lol, especially with tanks. Mythic we did a lot with parses not ever on Heroic was a waste of time.
How people stayed after all that astounds me. The man is straight up blaming other people for his "aggression", treats every player like shit and for what? A normal Nathria run? Not even Mythic guilds are this toxic. I'd have quit, even if he wasn't directly addressing me.
No offense to you, but in my personal experience people who use terms like "toxic" are precisely the kind that we just saw leading a guild. If you have to ask people to give you respect instead of earning it and you expect people to be nice to you regardless of your behavior you'll have very little real friends in life. I know, because I met some of these people and they'll stab you in the back for the slightest misgiving.

It's not about results. Unless you're pushing for WF you should focus on having a good environment. Nobody cares about your CE or 100% mythic logs in 2 months from now so better to have a good time to look back on.
My guild leader is like that. i think the closest to angry I've ever heard him is a disappointed sigh when something truly stupid happens. Other than that he's a really solid dude. Definitely makes raid night something to look forward to.

Oh my god this is Arkensor from Faerlina/Benediction on classic. I was in Wrecked when he lead it and was the biggest slimy POS you could have as a leader. I remember he "forgot" to hand out loot when we were clearing AQ and the trade timer dropped except only that wasnt true and he instead gave it to his friends.
Love these xD i raid lead for 2 years, at NO POINT during mythic prog did i need to raise my voice. They were adults, so talk as such. Imagine saying dont complain when i yell at you, christ :)

He's not a leader, clearly. I've encountered people like this. Someone who is in charge, but doesn't want to explain it in different ways; because he's to lazy or to dumb.
I was in a competitive mythic guild and it never got this bad, yes there was drama but not like this... what broke our guild up was a girl and it happened twice. LOL
Normal / Heroic shouldn't need this much effort.. if its Mythic progression I understand.. I got a feeling that people aren't cooperating or just being lazy with mechanics. Worst case are heavily under-geared for the raid itself. Raiding should be an enjoyable experience and Mechanics is just learning / memorization. If there is bad vibes within the guild or toxicity being caused.. people are going to turn aggressive or just give up and leave. People are here in the guild to have chill vibes and enjoy a good time in a game not be yelled at over mechanics or being belittled over things which can be resolved
I personally never have problem in NORMAL/HC raids during legion/BFA always killed it with laughing and many people in never was no one angry about anything even people died because we knew it's a just normal/HC the emotions going UP when it's mythic cause even i yelled at people when during BoD progresion someone coudn't understand how to MOVE on jadefire master during the minigame
I remember back in Warlords i played in 2 different guilds, one casual with all my friends and newer players, and then my main mythic raiding guild....Neither one of them were run like this lmao, And the one with my friends that were casual were absolutely hilarious, we wipe on something and laugh and chill. This game has too many wannabe elitists who cant even clear the easier content its actually funny.
I love listening to it... but as soon as it's over I peace out. I play Heroic and any time this crap comes up in Heroic... peace out. Was looking this guild... shocking it's dead. heh.

Its because he has simps who think if they stick around they might get their best gear then leave for another guild. Problem is most guilds dont survive long after all the good people leave and then GM inevitably dips out to try and find another guild to mooch off of

Problem is people like this shouldn't be an officer at all if they are all care is about saving their power and refuse to admit to their mistakes. As an officer you should be the one to rectify the drama and not the one to cause the drama. Well talking down to your guild members will not work well at all.
i quit wow about 10 years ago when it became a commitment rather then a game, my guild was good and killing content but the expectations were too much, most people on there were losers with no job and lived at home and could play 18hrs/day. i just wanted to unwind after a long day at work and after the kiddo was in bed for a few hours before i went to bed with my wife.
Why are people so insecure about liking a game. LOL I play the game but I pound pussy and have a house and pay bills, I am not like those other losers who like this game, I like it the right way. Just find a way to enjoy the game and don't judge others.
Omg exactly i feel the same way i received similar treatment in my guild its no longer about enjoyment and feeling satisfaction over progression its like you rock up and have to complete all your dailies and Mythic + otherwise GTFO it got so annoying having that as something Mandatory i dislike Mythic + and to get decent gear ilvl you need to do like level 15+ for really good drops like.. im more casual when it comes to WoW and PVE raids etc but the game has honestly turned so demanding and slave driving now a days.. its lost its charm and guilds are unfortunately turning into toxic groups like this.. I do think this co GM is very Egotistical and projects too much comparing his guild to a Pro Guild when they seem casual anyway yeah WoW has seriously gone so downhill
@@chrissy93x I think it's a bit more the fact some people grow up and grow out of most video games at a certain age, some never mentally grow up and they become 40 year old virgins who end up getting jail time for sexually assaulting a girl cosplayer, it's the circle of life.
This is exactly why I quit raiding and just do mythic plus with my friends. We have most 15’s on farm each week and manage to knock out 18-20 mythic pluses each week. I don’t have to put up with this nonsense for 4 hours. I am better geared then most of our guilds mythic raiders.
