Man, listened to this again and just want to praise Christ Jesus our Lord. Only if we could realize His words when he said, "love one another, by this the world shall know ye are my disciples." I needed to hear this today brother. Jesus has been teaching this to me over the last couple years, and it is so freeing and joyful to be able to fellowship with His whole body. Even though we may have slight differences!
Dear pastor Jóhannsson, Would you please make a video on baptism. I am having a hard time understanding the confessions when they say "of remission of sins". I know we don't believe in baptismal regeneration. What is the meaning of this? May his peace and love be with you and your family, Thomas
So happy to see you posting again! Sounds like you’ve made a few doctrinal changes. If you are willing to share, I’m sure a lot of us would be very interested. Blessings!
Hey brother! Thanks for checking in. Good to hear from you. The doctrinal changes were actually rather minor in light of my previous theological system. I went from low-prebysterianism (elder or presbyter led church government) to high-Presbyterianism (Presbyterian church government as laid out in the Westminster Confession of Faith). Then I adopted infant baptism as articulated in the reformed confessions, which was really the necessary end of my existing views of covenant theology (that there is one covenant of grace in two administrations, and the visible church is made up of professing believers and their children). I will post a video going more in depth when I get the time!
