One of the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India it's got everything from performances, dance, fashion, fireworks, and of course the city’s famous lights. This is the 40th anniversary of the event. The Lights switch-on along Belgrave Road, on Leicester’s ‘Golden Mile’ attracts people from all over the county. The world-famous Diwali festival has been a Leicester tradition, since 1983 and it brings communities together to celebrate the Festival of Light. Sunday, October 29th, 2023.
