This year I was fortunate to celebrate Diwali in Manali. Manali is a beautiful place and people are with such a kind heart. People with big heart and welcoming. I met Pritam uncle and Urmila aunty in Manali. They are so sweet and invited me for Diwali’s their home . They are from Lahaul and I was amazed to see the cultural similarities between kinnaur and Lahaul. Sharing this happy video with you all .

It’s heart warming to see cultural similarities b/n Himalayan n Tibetan cultures. If China had forcibly not occupied Tibet, the borders would have been so much peaceful there. Moreover, we would have strong ties with India for being the most reliable neighbor.

PS - Uncle n aunty as hosts, are very warm n welcoming. It bring back my fond memories of how we host our guests at home. Nice vlog as usual. I just have one point to add about Siddu. As per my knowledge, another traditional method of steaming Siddu is putting dry pine needles in a big pot with some water and than steam Siddus in that pot on pine needles. It give Siddus a different flavor.

Actually Diwali festival is celebrated by hindu because it was related to their religious culture. So we the Buddhist has our own festival which related to Buddhism such as Sagadawa, Chokor dhuchen and so and so on. Those festival should not be mixed.
