@@bertforbes1212 No, your timeline is off. This was recorded at Sirius on May 22, 2006, so it's only 13 years. It was uploaded now because they've been opening the video vault a little more each week, sharing musical performances from guests.
Country Music needs the Dixie Chicks. This is an old video, but I'm betting their harmonies are as good as ever. These ladies should be playing on every radio station in the nation and headlining big venues. They are that good! Better than most of the "up and comers" that aren't even country. At least these ladies play their own instruments and play them well. I'd love to see them at the Ryman again or Austin City Limits. Go Chicks!
Wow!!! Thank you Mr Stern for bringing the Dixie Chicks out...I wish people would leave them alone..we all have freedom of speech ..I dont care who you are..
The last time we started an illegal war in the Middle East, it was an astonishing act of bravery to watch The Dixie Chicks put themselves out there. They paid an enormous price. Country Western Music owes them an apology. True. American. Heroism. In a glorious 3-part-harmony with a glitter strapped banjo. #NoWarWithIran
Great cover. Love the song . Felt bad about the mandolin solo, its was going really well so they focused the camera on frets right before she hits the wrong note st the end. The "damn it" micro expression.
2020 fuckin sucks... so I've spent 3 hrs going back and watching 90s and early 2000s Howard stern performances.. I would blood sacrifice all of my exes to go back to the early nineties lol
really great group I wish they were still performing. Liberals attack people for personal beliefs. In this case it was back in GW Bush's day. She opened her mouth not long after 9/11. killed their career. I hope they make some new music and perform their Classics. they're a great group.
gmcjetpilot They are still around and still perform occasionally. Natalie was right about Bush anyway. How many Americans are proud of that war? We’re still in Afghanistan for crying out loud.
It was 2 years after 9/11 and she rightly so criticized the Iraq war, it took the dumb fucks on country radio 3 more years to catch on that the war was a terrible idea/excecuted to enrich the bush administration's connections
Am I missing something or are you? They were attacked BECAUSE they spoke out against the war.. they're democrats. "We don't want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States (George W. Bush) is from Texas,"
This is way better than the original. I used to listen to this when I was little and loved it, then I heard the original and it was super soulless in comparison. Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac are some of the most overrated musicians ever. This and some of their other songs are well written, but like I said, I just don’t here any emotion or soul in Stevie Nicks’ voice and the instrumentation is too simple and basic. Maybe overly perfectionistic? Overall, the vocals and music just feel dead or sleep in my opinion. I know it’s controversial. Or maybe everyone secretly agrees.
