Thanks for the info brother. I'm using a NZXT H710i and where you had the SSD mounted I have vast open areas just before the intake fans in the front of the case. I want to add some life to that section and distraction so the eye wont be drawn to the few fan cables in the lower corner. I've seen many before but never had the inkling to do it. Now that my build is complete I'm looking at this barren empty area of my case and it needs something.

If you want to have your screen turn off at the same time as the computer, i'd suggest getting a Molex to USB A female 5v adapter. Plug right into any peripheral cable on the PSU itself, Provide same voltage as a USB port and will shut off power at the same time as the PC.

I have a Cosair 4000D case with two 140mm fans at front and the 5 inch screen is between them. Fills the blank spot nicely. I used an adaptor to plug the usb into a motherboard usb header.

The wallpaper app I'm using is called "Wallpaper Engine". It's on Steam and I believe it was like $4.99. And as for the screen, you shouldn't have to set it up every time you turn on your pc. For me, I have to unplug the power cable each time I boot my pc. You might have to do the same.

learned something about the CMOS battery whats it there for. Definately gotta replace mine after i been building on mobo disconnected over 1 year

Haha yep yep. Its just there to keep the time, date, and BIOS settings right. You typically only need to replace them every 3 to 4 years. If you keep ERP off, then your power supply with keep supplying the 3v the board needs to keep the time, date and BIOS settings right. It's only in transport/when the power supply is unplugged, that the CMOS battery is being used.

Another way to know if you need to replace the battery is when the time and date are wrong when you boot your pc up. And most likely your BIOS settings have been reset to default if you modified any of them.

If you're referring to hide the taskbar only on the small display, I do not know how. You have to hide it on all monitors.

Which cpu AIO is that mate? Thanks for the vid mate. I was going to get an AIO with an LCD but they are about £60 more than a standard one. I have the exact same space in my Corsair Crystal 280x so the extra LCD looks so much better and costs less.

Thank you for the kind words. The cooler on my computer in the video is the Deepcool Captain 240EX. Unfortunately, due to them leaking in people's computers, they have stopped production on that specific model. I have since upgraded to the Lian Li Galahad 240.

No dumb questions here. The purpose of the SSD is to add storage. You do not need it. If you would like to add storage, then you should get one. It doesn't have to be the same brand or even size. There are a plethora of SSDs out there.

@@bigdaddybryan7918 If you have a gpu, your display settings will be set to the gpu not the motherboard, so you have to use the gpu. If you only have one HDMI, then just get an adapter.

You will have to go into your Windows settings and choose where the monitor is. Right click on your desktop and click Display Settings. See which monitor is the mini screen and move it where you want.

I guess that would work. You would just be limited to that screen only since most motherboards only have one HDMI.

I'm a total noob regarding PC mods and the PC world overall, I'd like to know if this could work on a non-liquid cooling system PC. Just got mine that has a regular cooling system and I'm a total sucker for those pretty screens that liquid PCs have. Is it possible to do this? I'm not looking to visualize stats or anything, just anime GIFs and such. Thank you in advance!

Of course. It's an independent electronic, meaning it works on it's own. Hell, you don't really even need a pc for this to work. You really just have to find a way to power it and how to get signal to it. Mounting it may be tricky in some cases.

Anyone know how to fix this issue im having, my sensor panel turns into my main display, no matter what i set in the window settings, it wouldn't let me bypass as a sensor panel. Monitor is connected by DP to GPU and sensor panel connected by HDMI to GPU. TIA!

Mine did not come with a fan. It’s more than likely used to cool the Raspberry Pi and not the screen, so you don’t need it.

Hmmm, that may be a challenge. You would need a driver board and more power to make the screen work. I would do some research and see if you can find the driver board for your screen.

You can use anything you like. It is just another monitor, so you are free to use it like a normal monitor if you so please. I personally use Wallpaper Engine on Steam for animated wallpapers. But you could use whatever.

My screen didn't come with a fan, and I sanded down the GPIO headers to make the screen sit flush.

Unplug the HDMI and replug it with the pc on. If does doesn't work, unplug the power and replug with the pc on. If that doesn't work, your screen may be defective and you may need a new one.

Make sure both ends of the HDMI are plugged in correctly. If they are, then unplug the screen from power and re plug it in. If that doesn't work, then you may have a defective screen.

For real!!! It’s more insane that people will still buy them, just for the screen. It’s still a basic aio under the screen. It doesn’t justify the 300 dollar mark.

putting the radiator in the pc in the front is not healthy for the pump. Try top mounting it to reduce any air bubbles that might be entering the pump.

I understand, but I cannot put the radiator and fans on the top because the motherboard and ram prohibit it due to clearance issues. Also, the top of the radiator is above the pump, so in the event any air pockets form, they will go to the top of the radiator, not the pump. For the most part, 95% of CLCs are low tolerance to air pockets, meaning there is very little to zero air in the loop.

Jacob, If you use ddr4 u can maybye try the g skill trident RAM, its cooler is smaller than the board. With this RAM I was able to fit in my radiator on top

Does the usb go into a usb headed on the motherboard for power?

I suppose you could, but I wouldn't recommend wasting a USB Header just for power. I would use it a regular USB-A port on the back of your motherboard.

@@questt5 You could do that. Do keep in mind that this screen in particular does not turn off on its own, so you will have to unplug it whenever you turn your pc off. Or you could turn ERP on in your bios to turn off all power to your usb ports when your pc is off, but this will run your CMOS battery down. Do what you feel is most comfortable.

@@realJacobLane good to know. I saw one that does have a turn off feature but doesn’t have touch capability like a lot of the raspberry pie monitors have, but if it’s inside my pc I won’t need that feature anyway.
