And if it’s cut too open, you could do the grommet and lace up for more detail. Or stitch under a fishnet or lace top to hold it closed more.

You always have great videos!!! The pieces looked just like the expensive runway ones. I’m not a fan of the one arm looks but that just my personal preference. The DIY design you did was spot on, just not my taste. I loved the lavender one on you!! That was my favorite of the ones you modeled. They all looked great on you but that light purple/lavender shade was just beautiful, I loved the flowing turtleneck style.

I'm not Orly and I'm a teen BUT my mom asks me stuff like that a lot. "Is this style too young for me?" "Am I too old to wear this?" etc. She's about your age so I thought I'd tell you what I always tell her. If you're comfortable in it and if you love wearing it, you're not too old for it! There no such thing as too old for clothing! If you feel stunning you'll look stunning!

Those probably have to be knit extra wide on the drop side to ensure there's enough extra fabric at the top to go around the arm. Not sure you could recreate this by just cutting a single regularly-proportioned sweater free at the neckline, unless it's got a ribbed body, which ~may~ stretch enough to give you more room to drape over. Worth a try - you could always just make one of the others if it doesn't work. Another thing to try is to cut the top of the sweater into a wide boat neck what will hang off one arm properly, hem to secure the edges, then reattach the neck to one shoulder of the base sweater. It might work, but you'll definitely lose some definition and shaping around the top.

I love these sweater re-fashions, especially the grey cabled v-neck sleeveless one- I would wear that as a layering piece in the winter and transition to "as is" when it's warmer out! I love the sleeveless versions on you, although they probably aren't as practical for me given where I live and how cold I tend to get in the winter ;). As a knitter (and guess where I get most of my yarn: unraveled thrift store sweaters!) who has a sweater knitting obsession, it's so interesting to see a sewist so fearlessly steek (steeking = cutting knit fabric with scissors; it's most frequently done on Fair Isle stranded colorwork cardigans that are knit in the round and have to be cut open) a sweater, since the entire idea of that terrifies so many knitters ;). I wouldn't try that on any of my handknits, but damn...I'm going to go hit the thrift stores now for a cowl neck sweater I can transform into something like that and not worry about cutting it! Will take far less time than knitting a version of that (which I could easily do, and may do if I can't find a decent candidate elsewhere). Another tip if you want to make a sleeveless sweater to vest without concern of fraying or unraveling: instead of cutting, flip the sweater inside out and unravel the sleeve seams! Most sweaters are actually knit in pieces and seamed afterwards. Unless the sweater was cut from a single piece and serged together (easily identifiable by the serged seams...usually only found on really, really cheap brands), you can find the little crocheted seam "tab", usually at the center of the armpit, and after you clip it, simply "unzip" the sleeve. If it doesn't want to unzip, you've started from the wrong end, so find the tab on the other side, clip it, and the slip stitch crochet seam will unzip like a dream. Oh, and the RBF calendar was hilarious! We've all got pics like that ;-).

Just that Hufflepuff are you from the north? In places where winters aren’t that cold (Southern states and SoCal), you can get away with sweaters like these. Actual warm winter clothing is usually only needed for late Dec-mid Feb.

I LOVE the lilac one at the end! That one has a great neck!! Another way to do this, slightly more "grunge" maybe, would be to mark your neckline and then sew it with a machine where you want those lines. Then simply cut away inside the stitching leaving the stitching on the sweater. This will prevent fraying, but you'll have a little bit of a "raw hem" effect. Love the ideas!
