I was thinking the same thing. I have made several projects with hot glue. After I do the gluing, i iron the item. Leaves it smooth and flat

@@teresahaven9222 Sadly, the hot glue gun always use silicon sticks, and with time this can lost it. Humedity or dust damaged it. I made works with fabric glue, even for clothing, you can wash them, iron them, and never ripped it.Once I buyed a party bag in a store, and I can used it just three times, the base was ripped it, I was really susprised they used silicon to glue the parts, because wasnt cheap... of course, was "made in China", and not an Atelier, but anyway, this model is for used more than a "party bag".

Вы серьёзно? Вы вообще в своей жизни видели, когда АККУРАТНО ? Вы бы хотели такую некачественную " сумочку " иметь? Её работу даже сумкой нельзя назвать. Обычный картон, обклеенный дешёвой красной тряпкой. И дабы ещё бы аккуратно был обклеен. Так нет же, клей везде торчит, углы не ровные и не симметричные. Вобщем ТИХИЙ УЖАС, а не работа.

You'd be surprised at how many "real" handbags are made with cardboard! Usually a different type of cardboard to this corrugated, normally chipboard, and then glued onto the fabric before sewing them! It's only the sewing that makes them stronger than this one! Guaranteed if you own a relatively cheap bag or purse, and you no longer need it, cut the bottom open and it's likely the stiff bottom is fabric covered cardboard! This one would be cute though covered in pretty paper as an extra special gift bag, or room decor with faux flowers in or hairbrushes etc. 😊😊😊

Many bags are made by cardboard. I was surprised once I buyed one in a store. Was a very lovely party purse, but I can used it just three times. Not for the cardboard, but was glue with hot silicon too. Cost me almost $105.00. And for me was too much money for a party purse which I cant use anymore. The "wrong" with this model, is very understanding, they made many DYI videos, and sometimes doesnt have long time to invest in one project. This is obvious DYI one evening project. But the idea is very nice, if you can make it better. In my case, I dont like she glued the pocket. I think that can be swen. About be "water proof", if you change the fabric you can resolve that problem. Or use a water proof spray too. In any case, if you know will be rain (because is the season), its much better dont use any bag which can be damage, even a leather one... use one just fabric bag or any sintetic bag indeed.

@@KMar-uj6pf i bought an expensive bag for a wedding and the glue on the diamond trim turned yellow and brittle and the trim peeled off. I decided to make it into a journal cover, cut the 2 ends off and fold cardboard inside! I think it's terrible they charge a lot for these bags that fall apart!
