I absolutely love this video, you’re very detailed. I just have one question, don’t you need a natural preservative since you’ve added the water and aloe juice?
Thank you! yes, generally you do! I did not use a preservative because I was only using it for a 1 week and a half-2 weeks or less. If you want to keep it for longer, you must use a preservative so that no bacteria or mold will grow. I'm not too familiar with the best preservatives so I just make it in small batches. It may have seemed like a lot here but it was just for video/demonstration purposes. I hope this helps and thank you for your question and for watching!
May I make a suggestion? After the soap is dissolved and before adding the oil, that you strain the soap. I’ve always noticed that there are solids, but the other day the nozzle on my squeeze bottle clogged, so I strained it. You need a pretty fine strainer. I used my tea strainer. Also it is perfect for a foam pump bottle!
Oonagh72 yes of course! Thank you for your suggestion 😊 another queen just mentioned that she uses cheesecloth to strain the soap and that works well for her. I think next time I want to try keeping it a liquid and putting it in a form pump!
hey y'all! Let me know if you plan to try this DIY African Black Soap Gel! ✨ tag me in your insta stories @nabilaraine This African Black Soap Gel can last for about 2 weeks if a preservative isn’t added. I recommend researching preservatives if you would like it to last longer. Or simply just make small batches and remake every two weeks. It’s entirely your preference :) Liquid DIY Black Soap Recipe: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jIqJ9uq-c4k.html
Thank you for this video and the links to the ingredient measurements. I am new to guar gum and I did not know how much to use all I have heard is don't use too much. You giving me a really great idea now about the proportion that's needed. When I have dissolved my African black soap into distilled water I use a chocolate melter with the surgical silicone lining that's removable and washable. And I said it on the lower temperature and it seems to melt it a lot faster than when I was putting it in a bowl and covering it. If you have a chocolate melter give it a try it works really well.
@@NabilaRaine next time, it will be more beneficial to get a small cup of the mixture, then add the guar gum to it and mix it together and then add it to the whole batch. The guar gum can get really annoying when it is bot mixed in all the way. I noticed there were clumps.
I love this video!!! Very informative n she got straight to the point n stayed on point!!! Can this shampoo also be used as a body wash with the essential oils? Thank you!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Yes, you can use it as a body wash as well. I recommend adding a bit more soap if you want to use it as a body wash because it will sud up better. Thanks for watching!
Good video and informative. Could you do another with the strainer and better volume? Volume was low. Thank you and continue to produce these videos, Sis.
Hey sis this looks great was wondering if I could use aloe gel instead of aloe water and replace the organic gum with seamoss gel to create the thickness also this may seem like a silly question will this be mild enough to use on my newborn baby
Hi, thank you love. Hmmm, I'm not sure. I have not tried that before. But if you do try it be sure to update us on how it worked out! Guar Gum is what makes it thick, seamoss will probably dissolve in the liquid, but it may depend on how much you use. From what I have read, it looks like it gentle enough for babies but I have never tried it on a baby, so do your research before you do. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️️
vegatable gylcerin does help from it not molding also certain oils will help when u use ctric acid all the other things it does not make it organic keeping in dark and frig it does help placing in sun light will damage the organic product tee tree oil an gylcerin is a preservative guar gum help thick ness etc .... alot of preservative are harming hair now of day ase
Hi, I’m not too familiar with those ingredients. I believe you should be able to add them. However, before you do loo up the concentrations that they should be use at. You don’t want to add too much of extracts to your products.
Sweetie you need a preservative that will be able to sustain an oil and water mixture, if not, you will get mold in it, even if you cannot really see the mold... You don't wanna wash your hair with that shampoo without a preservative if it's not used in 5-7 days or less... There are natural full spectrum presentatives, just research it... Other than that, I like your video
This can last comfortably for 2-3 weeks. I am not well versed in preservatives, so I recommend doing some research on it to see which you would like best.
Hi love, you can check out the recipe here nabilaraine.com/2020/07/14/diy-african-black-soap-gel-shampoo-body-wash-and-face-wash/ Thank you for watching.
Christy thomas Christy thomas hi, at this point you’ll just have to keep mixing it until it dissolves. A tip that a fellow queen gave was to put a little bit of the liquid soap in a cup and then add the guar gum slowly. After it’s all mixed into that little batch then you can add it to your bigger batch. Maybe we both can try this next time we make some and see how it goes.
Yes you are right, the correct ratio is important. Some people prefer more moisture than latter and some people are the opposite, so it just depends on what you would like. All of my recipes are able to be tweaked to your liking. So play around with it and see what works best for you. Thank you for watching!
Hi, I am not familiar with xanthan gum. Try searching google for it's benefits, if it says it is a natural thickener than it may be good for this recipe.
Hi I love your videos. But I want to ask you some questions. I am a Nigerian base in Nigeria. I will like to know how to making organic liquid body wash( Both lightening and whitening glowing ) Perfumes with essential oil( spray, Cologne, roll up and deodorant) and hair cream
Hi! This video is a great base for the liquid body wash and this one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jIqJ9uq-c4k.html they help with hyperpigmentation but aren't whitening. I will look into doing the other video suggestions with the essential oils and hair cream!
@@NabilaRaine in a old pot over low heat,, add honey too or glycerin whichever you prefer. But it will be a thicker mixture though depending on how much honey or glycerin you add, this is just to avoid putting preservatives in, ppl say with the water version you need it but, I dont 100percent agree with that it's just a quicker way of doing it. 🙂🙂
Hi, yes you can. You can just replace the aloe juice with more distilled water. I’m not sure how aloe gel would work in this recipe but you can give it a try lol thanks for watching!
Hey! This soap is usable for most skin types. Some people may find it too harsh, but I personally love it. So you would have to try it out and see what your skin thinks. I recommend adding more oils so it can be more moisturizing.
Автандил Юсубов I have never tried that. But I think it will cause the soap to sweat and look unpleasant. You can try the fridge to make it last a little longer
The essence of using black soap to shower is to wash away the oil on your soap and you can feel the squeaky feel when you run your hand over your skin. Wouldn't all the oil you added clog your skin up?
Hi! I personally have really dry skin so it’s the right amount of moisture for me. So you can tweak it to your liking. If you don’t want to add any oils at all, you don’t have too. Hope this helps 🙂
