DIY Arduino Based Paper Cutting Machine 

The PCB board works as designed. Make sure your order the 096 LED with the GND pin followed by the VCC pin. There are 096 LEDs on the market that are VCC first and then GND which will NOT work on the PCB. I corrected my mistake and the PCB works flawlessly! Thank you !

Nice idea. I built one using Arduino and some old Epson printer. The benefit is you could load several pages at once and leave it cutting. I used the paper feed sensors and the whole feeding mechanism. Honestly it was a nightmare to get it working properly due to cutting the paper "in the air" with no direct paper support and how the plastic of the printer is terrible for screws and heat (to build the specific parts). Nice project, just saying an old printer has some benefits.

How to measure length? Are you using a sensor for it?

You should use a 2 side cutter and cut on your way back as well. It will be a lot faster

This code has several errors from the beginning. int up = 10; int down = 11; int right = 12; int left = 9; int start = 7; int select = 8; These variables are not defined correctly, and there are missing parentheses later in the code. When I proceeded to test the commands that instruct the motor to feed paper, they don't work as expected. The motor pushes the paper a bit and then stops, while the blade continues to cut without waiting for the motor to finish feeding. Are you sure you've uploaded the correct and functional code, or is this intentional?

I have a question to ask. Do you need to include what library in Arduino IDE to make the coding error-free?

can i add another paper feed roller to it for guide paper extraction? if yes do we need to make any changes in the existing code

Is it possible to do card creasing, with same settings with just changing creasing wheel instead of blade. Please let me know is work or not

How did you program the Arduino mega? Isn't dr ny code used or is t working purely on the shield?

раз уж AtMega используешь, то всместо указания длины ножно датчик края уствновить. мнизу светодиодную ленту, на головке с резаком фотодиод. Только зачем это нужно вообще? Если нужна точность реза используй лазер с двух координатным перемещением. И точно, и универсально!
