1) Simple and cute duct tape pouch!
It’s super easy to make and you can customise it however you like.
First of all, you need a zipper. I like my pouches to be big, so I got myself one that is 25cm long. Next you need some duct tape. I decided to go for a cute pastel pink. Also, we need to work preferably on a cutting mat, but if you don’t have, just use a piece of cardboard with some Parchment paper.
I used the lines on the cutting mat as a guide. But basically cut a piece a bit bigger than the size of the zipper itself, and place it on the cutting mat. Now cut a second piece, around the same size, Place that under the previous strip, but overlap them a little bit. Make several strips like this until you get your desired size. In my case, I used 4 pieces. Trim the sides with your x-acto knife so you get a nice rectangle.
Peel it off from the cutting mat and flip it over, sticky side up. This side we will cover again with duct tape. I decided to go for a cute one with some unicorns, as I thought it would be a fun lil secret inside the pouch. All serious and business on the outside, with a touch of magic on the inside. Before you apply the last piece of duct tape, place the zipper on the top part. flip it over and now put the last piece of duct tape that now will help hold the zipper in place.Lil tip, if your duct tape isn’t sticking very well, use a lil bit of glue. Now once again trim the edges.
Now repeat exactly the same a second time, for the other side.
Now we need to connect both sides. I cut a piece of the duct tape and attached it to the cutting mat. Use your pouch to measure out how much the tape has to be trimmed down. One piece of tape is also enough to do both sides of the pouch, so I cut it in half. Now it’s as easy as taping both sides together. Repeat the same for the bottom and your pouch is ready!
2) Heart Shaped Paper Clips
Ssuuuuuper easy DIY, but I think it’s soo cute and adds a special touch.
For this you just need regular paper clips, I got the jumbo size ones, but you can also use normal sized ones. To get the heart shape just bend the clip in half on the side where the inner part of the clip ends, here. Yep, and that’s it!
3) Custom Notepad
Up next, I wanna show you how to make your own notepads. This is also a way so you can recycle old paper that is only printed on one side. First off, it you want to have something printed on your paper, create it on your computer. I simply used word, as I think most of you guys will also own it.
Measure out the middle of each side to cut it out. I used clips to keep them all together while cutting, making everything faster.
Now get all the pages together, and tap it slightly on your table, to make sure all pages are on the same level. Put some clips around it to keep everything in place. Place it on something so the notepad won’t stick to the surface, and add a fine layer of simple glue around the edge. Any kind of school kind of glue, like elmer’s glue will work. I added some extra clips to press everything together and let it dry. Next day you have your very own custom notepad.
4) Custom Washi Tape Pencils
Now an easy way to customise your own pencils. For this all you need is a pencil and some washi tape. Just cut a piece of the wash tape and wrap it around your pencil. Repeat it a second time, add some glue if needed, and done!
5) DIY Post-it Notes
Last but not least is more of a hack, rather than a DIY. There is this really cool type of glue that allows you to create your own post it notes. I got mine from Elmer’s, and it’s called Repositionable Glue Stick, but they also have them from other brands.
I decided to create my own lil RU-vid button to plan out whenever I’ll post my next Video. Add some of the glue on the back and let it dry for a few minutes. After that you can stick it to the paper and remove it just like with any other post it note. Once again this is super cool way to recycle some old paper, for example from some bills or anything that is only printed on one side.
