We did a major bedroom makeover. Today we will be giving our farmhouse bedroom here on the homestead an extreme, DIY makeover. We made sure to keep our expenses low on this project and stayed within a budget because we will be renovating in the near future. We painted, added a closet, and made it a cozy and inviting space. I hope this video can give you some ideas and inspiration for your primary bedroom decor.

I think a good idea for that small space in the closet is to add another tiny rod and use that to hang dresses especially long dresses. Then towards the bottom, add small shelf’s for shoes!

if you add a bar near the top of that empty space next to your closet insert, you could use it for all of your longer dresses!

I would just add a rod in the gap of the closet because it seems perfect for full length dresses. I know you guys live on a farm and don’t wear formal stuff *that* often, but over the course of many years, I guarantee you’ll have 2 or 3. And your wedding dress could be stored there. It would be tucked away enough to be safe and out of the way, but handy enough to sneak a peek at the lace every once in a while 😁💕

Love the bedside tables. If you get a small piece of rail put in the gap between wall and insert you will have somewhere to hang a few longer items…

Hey there, when I saw you buy your original plain black planner I thought, oh that's interesting, I was expecting Carrie would go for something more aesthetically pleasing! I love the replacement, it's very "you"! The bedroom looks lovely, I like the calm colours you've chosen.

You might want to consider bi-fold closet doors instead of sliding-they make some really cool ones. You could find some vintage small knobs in gold/brass to add to your decor too. Sliding doors tend to be annoying, in my opinion.

Woolson's got a cool woolcut, he got shorn not sheared 😁 but I love that you shear him on your channel 👍🏽 the weather is definitely different this summer, I think December was drier this time round by the time we got to Jan I was melting 🥵 but we still got Feb to get through, even though it started with rain, rain and more rain we might not get anymore for ages, so I'm loving it 🌧️ we're gonna get a cold snap come through tomorrow that lovely southerly to cool it down and then it's gonna get hot again 🌬️🌀🌨️🔥🥵, love how your closet is looking, I'm sure you'll find someway to fill in the gap and can't wait to see what you do with it, enjoy the rest of your Sunday

It’s funny, I was going to suggest a macrame wall hanging over the bed and then you held that up. Great minds think alike 😂 Also, I think a thin antique rough hewn grayish color wood bench would look amazing at the end of the bed.

Love your bedroom!! I just got an amazing custom dried floral wall arrangement done for my dining room from The Botanist (based off one they had online) and it's stunning!! Would look so good above your bed. Also to confirm Jan is normally our driest month, however our tropical neighbours North/East from us can send over tropical storms to jazz up our Summers which we've had this year (and currently). Also check out Nood, Mocka (great aslong as you check reviews), Inka and Adairs for furniture. These shops cater to the vibe of your beautiful home 😍

If your frame rate is at 30fps that might be the issue. In NZ, shooting interior lights at 24 or 25 frames works best.

please mix starter with a wooden spoon instead of a metal spoon. Metal and starter are not happy together. Starter should also be stored in glass, great job!

If lights flicker when filmed, it’s because the shutter speed your recording in isn’t divisible by the Hz the lights are receiving! A quick google search will explain more if you ever want to adjust for it!
