this is too cute great idea! I know what I'm going to be working on next for my daughter's 1st birthday, we're doing a coachella (babychella) theme lol
I loveeee your idea and its super easy first time watching 😊😊 my bday is coming up and this would be great for my theme😍❤❤❤ thank you for inspiring me 😘❤
loved your ideas, im going to give it ago as its my 60th and wanted lots of ballon designs. ive made block lettering (MADE IT)and wonder can you tell me the best way to attach the line. should I attach the line to the centre or as you have done.thank you. oh by the way im partially sighted so this will be another challenge. I will be looking out for more of your ideas. thank you
hi, yes I made them separately as I didn't have a shop that sold what I wanted. Ive painted them with glitter paint and think I will do a final coat with glue added. dnt know why realy . trying things. thanx
If they're all one piece it's best to anchor them from both sides to the hoop and possibly even from a middle letter depending on how heavy the lettering is.
Hi this is really nice. I tried doing it but had a hard time getting the balloons to stay in place. Secondly I chose to hang the hoop on the wall using a command hook. However the hoop didn’t stay flat on the wall. I think it was because the balloons were in the way. Any tips on how my attempt could have turned out better? Thank you!
HI Gloria, there are little glue dots at the craft store that work really well to hold the balloons together if they aren't tight enough to hold themselves like mine did. Like these www.joann.com/aleenes-120pcs-0.37in-instant-tacky-adhesive-dots/14855571.html#q=glue%2Bdots&start=1 Command hooks might not be strong enough, it will depend on how heavy your hoop ends up being. I used screw in hooks because I wasn't worried about the ceiling, so those hold a lot more weight. My hoop wasn't up against anything, I do recommend giving it a little space from the back drop so the balloons aren't rubbing against anything. Hope this helps :)
+Cicely Blackmon hi! Papier-mâché possibly, I wouldn’t do styrofoam just because of the texture. I’d maybe look for something more plastic and round something that’s coming to mind right off is the kids plastic play pit balls you could spray paint and figure out a way to attach them. Also google search fake balloons 😊
I used to put off videos for that same reason but I figured that I have to do what I was called to do. This was gorgeous. Make sure you check me out for DIY and decor
HI there, I just fished 3 balloons onto some clear fishing line with a needle through the tail of the balloons. Push them down until they're in a cluster on your string (you can do more balloons too if you want) Then I just took a clear thumbtack and tied the end of the fishing line around it and stuck it in the ceiling.
Rosamaria Sias ya just out as much air in them as you want to make size variation and you’ll want to push all the air to the end of the balloon and tie off tight to avoid the “nipple”😆 look
Hi! For my wreath I didn’t need to tie them I was able to just insert them between the balloons. They were tight enough they held them in place. You can tie the florals in or you can also use double sided sticky tape, if needed. 😊
Hi, what do you mean about the lettering? Like how I glittered it? I run a business that I cut custom wood signs that's why it's linked in the video. I may do a video one day about how I make them but it really wasn't the purpose of the video.
Hey girl thanks for the reply.. I use my daughters you tube channel -Athelia York but my name is Tiffiny!! You are my kinda girl with Cheap and creative, craft projects! I cracked up when you said "I was worried how I would look, how my space would work...etc" lol!! THATS SOOOOOO ME! I have a huge office in Dallas/Ft worth filled with only art supplies and my Art Stuff to do what I do .... CrAftS and aRt!! But I do not know how to video my stuff, (even though I have an amazing camera and the iPhone 7plus) but I still don't know how to start a RU-vid channel?? Any rate - I ADORED YOU IMMENSELY☄️🤗😘 Sending positive energy to your channel! Hugs 🤗 Tiffiny York...
Aww that message gave me goosebumps. Thank you so much for taking the time to write that. I've been putting this off for far too long. Frustrates me that I didn't slow down long enough to video the millions of other things I have already done, but hey here I am. I've got my foot in the door! I am all about the positive lifestyle (thanks for the good vibes). I'm currently on a crusade to self improve. You can do this, it's not hard, I filmed this with my iphone 7 plus. I really think the audience we target "gets" a messy craft room, I mean come on what truly crafty chick has an immaculate space? I think it's better to get your ideas out there and share with the community. Good Luck to you and be sure to let me know when you launch your channel so I can subscribe ;). Lots of love Brit
