I clicked on this video without even noticing it was an hour long because I love building videos. I'm a girl so nobody actually taught me how to build or repair stuff, but I dream of someday being able to make at least something small. Glad I found your channel ❤
Morvaz, never wait; start with tiny birdhouses. Just start doing what you love. Life is amazing, so don't wait to do the things you love to do. I'm a girl, well, an old one now, I never waited, and now I have experience in just about everything. Except for being an astronaut. LOL
Just do what you want to do. You are the only one stopping you. Your first few (hell even 1000) projects can be utter crap but as long as you enjoy doing it, then that is all that matters. I'm a guy buy grew up trying to make everything I do perfect and was miserable as soon as I just started jumping into the stuff I enjoyed life got a whole lot better. I wish you luck on your journey!
I have no interest in carpentry or living in a tiny home but I really enjoy watching something being built from the ground up. You're the only one on RU-vid who does in depth videos during your builds and that's extremely helpful in understanding what's going on. I know a lot of people interested in pursuing projects of their own also appreciate your in depth explanations. Looking forward to the rest of the build!
Drew, the breaks aren't an issue, rather a few days to a week, than overworking the injury into something more severe. Progress is looking insane, and the rest of the build will be just as amazing. Kudos mate, you've outdone yourself with this project so far.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate the tiny house videos. My wife and I want to build a tiny house, so I'm thankful to have a reference like this available.
another youtuber I know does a few tiny house builds is laura kampf (she's also in the middle/nearing the end of retrofitting a full sized house - which was a journey she didn't know she was on til it was too late lol) she's done a few trailer-camper ones, a horse box camper, one that's about the size of Drew's (maybe a little smaller). Not saying Drew's isn't great, it really is but multiple sources of inspiration, ideas and builds is always a good thing. (not sponsored, just a fan)
When I saw your shoulder was hurting in the video before you mentioned anything I was thinking, please take care of yourself and don’t destroy your body trying to rush these videos out for us. I hope others would agree that we would rather wait longer for great videos like this and the rest of the house so long as you’re taking care of yourself. You only have one body after all so please treat it well! Hopefully you get better soon. This said, I am immensely enjoying this build series. I have been wanting to build a tiny house myself for a long time and seeing what you and others do, how you build them and what your thought processes are is so amazing and insightful to a girl who has barely touched any power tools. You guys make me wanna learn so I can build things myself and make things that suit my personal tastes that I can’t find on the standard market. I can’t wait to see the rest of the interior and how you go about giving it all those little touches that take it from Tiny House to Home Sweet Home. Cheers from KY!
100% in agreement there kathleen, your body and mind come first, your job comes second always. even if hes just making youtube videos, he should always make time for himself. videos like this is what inspires me to make a custom multifunctional piece of furniture thats easy to move in/out. and im just across the state border in west tennessee.
Congratulations on deciding to take up tools and learn! Earplugs and Minnie Mouse ears are great for protecting your hearing. Menard's sells some really nice women's leather work gloves. Small projects first to build up your skills and feel comfortable using your tools. There are RU-vid channels on tool use. And Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has classes. See if there is a Rockler store near you. WOW! Most Excellent! Have Fun and Be Safe!
While I’m personally not a big fan of tongue and groove boards on walls, I am a big fan of your work. It looks amazing with the oiled cedar on the ceiling. 10/10 would watch you build again
It is so refreshing to see someone who takes such time to get every detail and every technical aspect of the build. So many people cut corners or throw a big project together and it looks awful but this is truly beautiful. Nice work Drew! Keep it up brother!
I love that your channel has gone from "Here's a cool fire pit" to "Here's my (soon to be) fully functional, livable, tiny home on wheels. My favorite bit is that everything you do is really cool and seems really complex and difficult, yet you condense it into an easy to consume video that makes anyone feel like they could do what you do. I've done a ton of construction in the past and did not enjoy it, but you make it look incredibly appealing and fun and it makes me wish I still did it
This was great. Hope you are feeling better. As someone with ripped disks and very very poor joints. Would recommend drywall sander for over head sanding or high sanding. It is basically just a sander on an extension. Allows you to hold it like a pool cleaning net. Works amazing. Love the quick and quality of your videos. Quite nice to watch. Makes me wish I could go out and do any of this but, have ran out of time in my life. Wonderful work!
I love all the beautiful windows! I have always loved anything wood. I love natural & oil. Mom was too funny! I watch Perkins Builder Brothers & have learned so much from them. I love watching Jamie make his own jigs & listening to everything he says. Watching you is the same. So much work, so many things to be done!!! Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
I don't have time to watch hour-long videos, but I set my alarm clock and woke up at 5:45am to be able to watch this entire thing before my daughter woke up. You're a great storyteller Drew. Really amazing work on the tiny house and I gotta say, I'm impressed across just about every aspect of your channel. Well done brother. The house looks great!
I finally got a moment to watch this. I've had the tab pulled up for a few days because I have waiting to see more of your home build! From the first long video of the exterior, I have been wondering when the next step was gonna be posted. It looks incredible! You've done amazingly and I look forward to the next video!
WOW!!! Absolutely BLOWN Away with this Tiny Home! The wood accent outside is sjust gorgeous, then you walk in and see the ceilings and floor!!! I Love LOVETHIS!!! GREAT JOB DREW!!!
As a Drew Builds Stuff fan, I have to say that this build has been an absolutely delight to watch. Your work is incredible. As a chiropractor, I’m happy you took some time off to address your injury. Those are some of the rehab exercises I do with my patients. Great job!
While I'm sure most chiropractors genuinely believe they're caring for their patients, there are no positive medical results, and I encourage people to go a medical doctor instead if they need healthcare :)
Hi Drew and everyone watching 🙋🏽 I absolutely love this build inside and out... I'll be starting my tiny home journey in a year (I'm watching 6/7/24) and I'm 64 years young and ready!! Thank for sharing this with us and hoping to see much more 💯 ✌🏾
Welcome back to YT... I sympathize with your shoulder pain. I was grimacing with you even before your mention of the problem and PT resolution. This is an amazing journey. One observation: grounding to a gas line may have seemed expedient but is DANGEROUS. add another grounding clamp to the pipe just outside the tiny house.. when you move to your final destination drive a copper rod into the physical ground and connect it to the exterior grounding strap. Gas and electricity are a deadly combination. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace Drew
I think he's fine as the switchboard earth bar should be connected to the mains earth but having a secondary earth point doesn't seem a bad idea and Drew definitely should get an electrician to double check anyway
Your skills are so impressive. I've been obsessed with tiny homes for over a decade so I've seen many, many builds and layouts. However, the way you build is superior. Keep it up!
@@DrewBuildsStuff In my country, while planning for which locations the electrical wirings need to pass, they first install some special spiral conduits/pipes which runs through the whole house so that the electrical cables can pass through them. Flexibility and Maneuverability: Spiral conduits with electrical cables are made of flexible materials, allowing them to be easily bent and twisted during cable transportation. This makes cable assembly and transportation more convenient. Durability: Spiral conduits are typically made from materials resistant to impacts, abrasion, and chemical effects. This feature protects the electrical cables from external factors. Cable Protection: Prioritizing the protection of the electrical cable passing through them from external influences helps prevent damage and breakage and prevent other potential hazards. On each conjunction where cables meet, they also add conjunction caps/boxes on upper part of the walls (close to the ceilings) so that in future, you can just open these conjunction caps and add new or replace existing electrical cables when needed. It also takes away the additional cost of having to break down walls to replace old or faulty wirings because the wires are running freely inside these spirals (you just simply need to disconnect both ends and pull out the old cable and run a new cable via the guiding wire). Spiral conduits with electrical cables passing through them are modern solutions designed to meet the need for safely and orderly transporting electrical cables. Thanks to their flexible structures and durability, they are widely used in various industrial and household applications.

Great job. As i was sitting here digesting the news that i need back surgery. Your video pops up. It made my week!!! You put a smile on my face watching and the dry humor along the way really makes it entertaining as well as education. The comment about your caulk brought tears to my eyes laughing. Also the glued flooring. Been there, done that. It sucks but you learn. Love you man!! Keep up the great projects as well as videos. Take care of yourself also.
I love the tiny house series. This is entertaining, relaxing and informative at the same time. Inspirational even. Sorry to hear about your shoulder and hope it continues to get better.
You build with care and attention to detail making your videos a joy to watch. I look forward to the rest of the interior fit out videos, make certain you give your shoulder time to heal soo you can work without too much pain.
I appreciate the care and skill in the work you do, Drew. Plus your excellent work ethic. All the best with your shoulder. Great to see you’ve physio support. As well as support from your mum and mates (even those sitting around keeping you company 😉). Looking forward to Part 2.
I always really enjoy your projects and your attention to detail that goes way beyond just screwing pieces of wood together. Those rectangular windows bring so much available light into the space and makes it look bigger. Great job Drew for educating the community and myself included. I prefer the oil finish much more,it looks professional and it brings out the different shades of wood!
My dad is letting me turn the attic space over my bedroom into a loft room and I feel like the process will be very similar to the process in this video. I'm glad I watched this! It helped me figure out some of the things I'll need to research so I can plan and budget 😁
Yes, your back. It’s been a long wait. Wow, what a beautiful looking interior so far. Like you I also think the oil looks way better. I can’t wait to see how the inside finishes. Best wishes to you Drew from the UK.
Take all the time you need, just glad you are able to share all these builds with us. 😉 Also take care of your health, as I passed 40 I realized how important it all is. Don't stress your shoulder too much. Until next time! 😀
Truly outstanding build Drew! I've watched quite a few on RU-vid on tiny home build, your quality of work, attention to details are truly top notch above the rest. Thank you for sharing, take care of your shoulder.. Stay safe!
AHHHHHHH I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG!!! i hate the algorithm for not even showing it on my homepage or my subscriptions tab. i come back to your channel manually every few weeks to check if there’s a new upload and today i finally won!
i know, for some reason notifications often aren’t delivered either, other creators have speculated that it’s the platform punishing users who don’t upload frequently 🤦🏻♀️ y’all deserve better. take as much time as you need to imagine, plan, build, film and edit!!! and take care of your body. you’ll always have an audience when your projects are ready! ❤️
Thank you Drew, it was a long wait but totally undestandable. Health comes first always, hope the shoulder is feeling at least somewhat better. No matter the wait it's always worth it, with the detail and quality of your work, and thank goodness you managed to get the caulk out... take care of yourself. Can't wait to see the interior.
One of the best videos yet Drew. Your ability to build stuff, and find solutions on the fly are nothing short of inspirational. Using a 1 inch mark with the tape measure and adding an inch at the end, also that ‘sneaking-up’ on the mitre saw cut for the window frames at 57:55 is genius! How did I never think of doing that before? Well done for running your fingers over your caulk as well. Not many people would do that publicly.
Wow it's looking good now drew. I love the way you pay attention to every little detail. and yes I love the natural look of the timber ceiling even with the oil on it. Can't wait to see how the rest of the build unfolds.
I am so excited to see this up I have checked your channel every single day since the exterior to see if the interior build was uploaded, keep up the great stuff man
Your attention to detail is truly remarkable! I'm impressed by the level of care and precision you put into your work. It's evident that you take great pride in what you do, and it really shines through in the quality of your content. Keep up the fantastic work!
I never comment on videos, but felt inclined to compliment you on the tiny house so far, your work is exceptional and everything looks beautiful. Keep up the great work Drew
Yes, I've been looking forward to the next instalment of this build. This just made my day. Sorry about the pain, hope it gets better soon. Looking forward to part 2, but don't hurt yourself doing it. 🤩💖💜🏰
I love when a person pays attention to detail and you Sir have went above and beyond! Very Pur-D-Full! 🤗 As always, I'm lookin forward to your next video! Good health to you! 🤗
Awesome 2nd part Drew. So much attention to detail and with beautiful results, plus the fact you’re videoing it all takes time and dedication. Hope your shoulder feels better soon and looking forward to the finishing touches. Huge love from 🇬🇧
🥇Oh Drew, exquisite workmanship once again. I've got your work in my head as a kind of gold standard, nothing else I've seen quite lives up to the detail and precision in your work. 🥇Thank you for all your hard work in the video production as well, and I hope your shoulder heals fully and quickly!
I am a DIY dude myself and when you cursed with pain i felt that. My bones are rotten as well. My mom always says when i curse when i build everything is ok. But if it is quiet there is a problem. My wife has not checked that yet but we are getting there. Still nice work. Love it.
Wow!!! I watched from the beginning and I can’t wait for the final product. Beyond everything that you have done what mostly impressed me, you are a very detail oriented guy to perfection. 👍👍👍
Love it!! I was a tile contractor for 30 years and had to give it up after I injured myself. This makes me want to go build something. Amazing work Drew
Really enjoyed watching you build your tiny home. It looks amazing. Love the ceiling. It was pretty before the stain but after the stain its beautiful.Cant wait to see the rest done and decorated.. Enjoy living in your tiny home. I used to live in a tiny home for a few years but had to move, Miss my tiny house.
Boy, you really are a workaholic and incredibly creative. How is it that you know how to do all this stuff at such a young age? I love that you used a lot of wood and the oil is definitely a richer look. I was wondering, did you ever think of making a few window sills for a cat to sit on? A cat needs a window sill. Your tiny home is very beautiful and so well constructed. I can hardly wait for the next video.
afaik he has a dog but no cats - he has a previous video where he built his dog an outdoor, heated, dog house for over the winter because he/she likes to be outside.
@@MaxRide1 Thanks, I saw the heated doghouse video. In a tiny house it's probably better to have a small pet like a cat. Cats love to sit or lay in front of windows especially if they are indoor cats so that's why I was hoping that Drew would include at least two window sills for the cat to sit on or lay down on. I don't have a cat but I bet whoever buys this tiny house will already have a cat or want to get a cat. Whoever buys it will probably be a single person or a young couple without any kids so in the meantime they will probably want a pet, a small pet, probably a cat. I'm just guessing.
@@DrewBuildsStuff also, I recently signed up for your OF but it turns out it was just some Indian guy selling disgusting pics of his feet. What are the odds you could refund me for my troubles?
Love these videos. Used dowell cutting lots before. Best finish I find is to PVA and sand over and use sawdust over wood filler. Much quicker to sand afterwards and a cleaner finish.
That was so satisfying, love watching the precision and finer details. Good luck with the next steps and we hope your shoulder is becoming less painful 🙏🏻
Your videos are the best. I’m not incredibly handy but the way you show what you do has allowed me to do a few new things I wasn’t sure I could. The production quality is so solid and there is just something so relaxing about watching your builds. Thank you for providing us with this content!
