Today we're starting our office makeover with a feature wall of bookshelves! Using pole wrap, we're creating a fluted wood slat wall and we'll be installing faux built-ins with the popular IKEA Billy Bookcase that fit PERFECTLY along the back wall of the office. I have an "office" room that I didnt know how to organize because of its size and shape, but GIRL, placing the desk in the middle with storage on the back is game changer! You get to use all the space. LOVE it!!

I've said it before but I will say it again: I love watching female creators and I love what you do on this channel. but it's especially contrasted how much your husband is an asset to you without being a burden. he clearly loves you. And he's absolutely willing to pitch in. but he doesn't try to take over your channel or pretend that he's just as deserving of the praise that comes from all the work you do. he just really clearly thinks your talented the way the rest of us do. he is a fan of your work! And since 90% of the husbands that wander onto female creator channels annoy me to know end with their entitlement your husband is a little gem that I am just so glad you have. if we never met him I wouldn't know he was adorable. but now that I know he's adorable and that he's not interfering with your work? Now you know what to create in your work space for filming so Brian can truly have his own office/relax space. I hope he has fun decorating the shelves with things that bring him joy including, yes, his neatly folded tee shirt all nice and framed. Nice job you two! Brian is such a trooper for getting all those heavy boxes in the car and the house💪🏽. The wood pole wrap is gorgeous and contrasts beautifully with the black cupboards. It looks so amazing! I love the wood idea. There's also the Billy height extension units you can add, even if you don't add crown molding on top! I think it would make the space look even bigger

What a great enhancement to this office! I understand not wanting to build in the crown pieces, but if you wanted to do a renter-friendly version, you could build boxes to sit on top of the bookshelves, wrap the top in crown, then use command velcro strips to attach crown to the wall above the low cabinets!

Adore it but for me would stain it slightly darker also could add shelves floating in future if needed or add those leather loop handles at some point if you want to add on That said was planning to add that idea above & Behind an alter in my apt as it's very renter friendly Asthetic... But till you did this didn't know I could achieve my plan so easily... So thank You... Was A very happy to know this Awakening as I'm A Senior & everything here must be done renter friendly & easily Removable as for those Billy bookcases love the fact they have doors & now are in darker shades !!!! IKEA Sells billy bookcase extension pieces so u can add an extra shelf on top. It will make the room look even taller 👍🏼the extra piece on top will be close to the ceiling so you could nail some trim to the bookshelf itself to make it look built in but not permanent

It Does look good, it's very nice & it fits perfectly. So much storage and a place for all the office stuff. Really like the use of the backdrop. Just a suggestion, if I may; when you get ready to attach it to the wall, maybe consider sealing up the space between the floor and the wall, the gap left when you removed the baseboard. I think it would help with energy efficiency, feel less drafty when it's cold outside, can't hurt, every little bit helps.
