I wanna just say I randomly come across all sorts of videos of yours that are almost always informative well thought out DIY projects on a MYRIAD of subjects, generally off grid oriented, but in general really applicable to our daily lives as well. For example, I found this while trying to research a DIY standalone sink/water filter for inside an apartment, not for camping or off grid like most people would build a sink like this for. Thank you for the wealth of knowledge, experimentation, and the resource sharing it has become. Thank you.
Is there a list of materials that u can supply? It’s really hard to follow along in this video and keep pausing or reversing or zooming in to try to find out what every part is. Most other videos have a list at the end of video one can screen shot. This would be soooo helpful as I am a kindergarten teacher and having to build this for the children due to COVID
Can you turn on and off the water from the sink or do you have to unplug stuff or turn water off at the spigot to stop the water? I like the construction, but I'd want to find a way to cut off the water at the sink. Probably one could add a ball valve to shut it off at the sink if you're just using a garden hose. This same "off grid" construction would also make a fountain of any sort since you'd just be recycling the water with the pump.
now this i like this is awesome , but it would be nice if hot water but i guess if you had a pvc capped on both ends & a fill hole & a drain to drain in bucket ,& this would heat the water by solar to wash hands or dishes , but ya this is cool
Two questions come to mind. What if you added a solar shower to use for hot water? It looks like to me you would just hang the bag (or bucket painted black) and feed an additional tube into the bucket with the pump. That leads me to wondering if it is possible to connect the cold & hot water into one faucet? Your video is great! Instructions and parts list are exceptionally clear. Great job!
Absolutely Brilliant! I really appreciate you sharing these great ideas. Are you planning to combine 2 or more systems to create a platform you could bring out into the wild?
I'm not familiar with pvc, can someone tell me what the very first piece is called that he screwed into the bucket and attached the hose to on the off grid side? And what size pvc this is?
