Back rail can be whatever size you need but it is made with 2 2x1 timber (L shaped)
Bed slats 9 @ 26 1/2"
2 sets of 600mm drawer runners

Hi Dan, I am on my 3rd version of your original design, I am well over 6 feet tall and 115 KG and i can confirm my bench to double bed does not creek squeak flex or bend, even after being crawled over and used for 3 years, I am just about to make another for a van for the in-laws, so thanks for the time and effort you put into sharing your design, I am still looking for a pop top roof or a collaborator to make a few that we emailed about a couple of years ago. get in touch if your situation has changed.
