Wow that came out beautiful but I think I'll pass on the wax. I hope it isn't really necessary

Thank you :) The wax it's not necessary, but it'll help when it comes time to clean. I also like how the wax changes the color ever so slightly.

Can you explain the purpose of the wax? Does it seal the paint so they can be cleaned later without messing up the finish? Is there a clear wax? Because I actually liked the color of your blades before you added the wax 😀...Thanks for your help!

The wax it's not necessary, but it'll help when it comes time to clean and protects the paint. If you like the more grayish color use clear wax. Have a great day! 😊

you can see spots where the paint is scratched off. it's clearly not adhering well.

I love Annie Sloan chalkpaint. I’m not sure what scratches you see, maybe the ones I created for the style. 🧐

That you for this tutorial. It turned out nicely. What do you mean when you say ratio 1 to 4? What exactly are you rationing the paint out with? Water?

I'd like to do something similar but my blades are laminate. Are your blades laminate, and if so, how did you get the paint wash to adhere?

I did this project about a year ago, I'm not entirely sure, but I think my blades were also laminate. If you use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, you won't have any problems.

Cavsome Sayre I got mine done, turned out great 👍 didn’t need any sand paper and I had dark blades.Chalk paint works wonders

Avanti Morocha According to Lowe's home improvement, Painting fan blades could lead to giving weight to thr blades unevenly, and it could knock the fan out of balance and it gives stress to the electric motor...

What kind of paint are you using? You got paint, wax and what not. But where did you buy them? How much. What brand?

Hi, the brand is Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, check her site to see where you can find it in your city. The colors I used were Old White, Coco, and Graphite.
