I've been obsessing over flower headbands, and finally decided to just go ahead and make my own! I love that you can choose your own color palette to make it fit your personal style! An alternative to the Flower Crown, this super easy DIY Homemade Flower Headband is perfect for summer festivals, weddings, bridesmaids and flower girls, and photoshoots! So so pretty Whitney!! I know you're quite the craftswoman but when you posted this photo on Facebook I had no idea you made this, GREAT JOB and man I need some pretty juice lol...not saying I'm ugly but I'm in some strange cutesy stage where everyone greets me with an "aaawe" and this beautiful head piece needs your caliber of beauty to match, if I wear it I'm just inviting the cheek pinchers lol!! +holahaven yea but handmade stuff has to take into account the crafters time. If each one takes her an hr plus supplies and profit $20-25 is good. There's probably girls selling these on etsy for $80 though which is annoying lol. I'm just too lazy to make this and Whitney is just too good at it. I want mine to look just like hers.

+Nonalola I wouldn't want to pay $80 but it's not a crazy price. I could see this taking 3 hrs per crown and if your rate is $25/hr that's $75 right there not including materials. Self employed people need higher rates to account for taxes, out of pocket health insurance, etc. That's why I'd rather buy an expensive handmade item from a person who actually made it than pay the same price for the same item at Urban Outfitters where the cost is unjustifiable.
