In this video we will be unboxing and setting up this very cheap co2 for use on my fully planted aquarium this co2 system is super cheap and after a week of use packs a punch it has been running continuously for 7days now and has not stopped this awesome tropica co2 system bio is the perfect co2 system for a nano tank or up to 60l my personal opinion is that with some fine tuning you would be good to go on a 100l tank with this co2 system and is very similar to other diy aquarium co2 systems out on the market for half the price #aquariums #fishtank #aquascaper #aquariumplants #fish #aquarius #breed #bettafish #nanoaquariums #likeforlikes

Thats just what Ive been looking for. Thanks for the video mate. I wonder if you could or even need to run it with a second bottle to clean thw co2... and a solenoid/tap for better control. I've used those aerosol type ones and the co2 disappeared from the chamber but I dont see any difference to plant growth or co2 levels in the aquarium. I reckon youd have to refill the chamber every 2 hours for it to even begin to maintain a decent level.

Hay thanks for watching and commenting yeah I think a solenoid would be a great idea I have been using it for about two weeks now and it’s on the second of four activator packets and has been running continuously seems to be making the plants grow faster I’m also using liquid fertiliser and api root tabs but seems pretty good for the cost and it’s a full kit hope you get set up with yours 👍🏻

@@horizonfishkeeping Awesome 👌 Does it come with 4 activator packets? Sounds like a short time between topping up so defo will look into some some of control for it to make ot last longer

Yeah comes with 4 just put 200ml warm ish water and a pack in then top it up the solenoid would definitely increase the burn time it states 60 days I think you could modify it to last longer

I think the solenoid only been on with the lights on a Wi-Fi plug would probably slow the reaction down so would make it last longer as it’s only on half the time I might give it a go on the next packet and see if there is a clear difference

I purchased 1 yesterday never used one before. I set the first part up yesterday and the second part today. Just waiting 2 hrs to start working .

It’s a very low pressure system but great for the smaller tanks it’s been running about 6 months now working great on my two tanks

Seems to be working. I'm glad you shut off the bubbler as oxygenating the water at the same time as adding C02 defeats the purpose of both. The solution is to run co2 in the day and bubbles at night. I suppose it's not possible to tap that unit at night?

Hay lush yes I was thinking I might try get a Solenoid for the co2 and a Wi-Fi plug for the bubbler maybe a up and coming project also happy new year 🥳

Hello very nice and helpfull video.i ve already ordered it .i have just one question please..my filters airpump sprays bubbles(i m guessing o2),when i add tropica should i turn the bubbles of completely?planted 20 gal betta tank mostly anubias and crypto

Just wondered if you had any updates on this as it's the only review i can find for it anywhere haha? Was looking to buy one to set up an easy level planted tank, but not sure if it’s safe for fish! 😁

Hay there thanks for the question I will be doing a update video shortly but yes it’s absolutely fish safe I have been running it for around 2 months now on my Betta tank and the fish is doing great and the plants are growing awesome thank you for watching my video and also leaving a comment hope this helps thanks Dave 😊

Hay thanks very much I did in the end I got one cheap off eBay it comes up as this on there £15 it works fine so far but these are really good co2 systems I have actually got another one if your wanting to avoid the compressed gas route that’s for watching my video and taking the time to comment I really appreciate that eBay - Aquarium CO2 Magnetic Solenoid Valve(UK PLUG) Double Head,Low Temp Premium Model

Thank you so much for a speed reply. You have a subscriber for life. Final question, so would I still need to buy a bubble counter and obviously the time plug? About to get them now, so I just wanna make sure I am doing this right, as I am about to start the co2 today.
