DIY Colorful Sand Art... Made With Salt! - Do It, Gurl

I could do this with sand because I live about 1minute away from the beach. All i have to do is go through a field! Love u Jamie and so trying this out!

I learned a different way to make coloured sand. With salt and chalk(dust). You scrape the chalk with a sharp object and add it to the salt. Its pretty cool. Btw im from the netherlands :) I love you jamie

I'm going to color salt so that way if a demon attacks me I'll fend them off in style.

you can also put the salt in a cup and take a chalk piece and stir it like a spoon inside the cup. Since I didn't have food coloring and had chalk instead and also that way the project wont take more than 20 minutes

You can also use chalk to color the sand.

Back in 90s in elementary we used chalk to color salt in a paper plate then poured it in jars .

Wow this is good idea!, even though I do have access to beach sand, this is still helpful cuz it doesn't color very well, so this is great!

Omg this is perfect. NUMBER TWO IS PERFECT I made a paper flower and I can stick the end of it inside of the sand filled jar!

Can you use sugar granules instead ... can you scent the salts with essential oil so it makes your room smell lovely???

You can also add like small cute sea shells. That would look so cute...I'm assuming.

Gurl.com for the display it would be cool to also glue the jar to a small piece of painted carboard then you could glue the rocks onto the carboard but in a pattern that surronds the glass bottle.

You don't need food coloring, you can use chalk too. Just crush some chalk and shake with salt :))

Hi, Jamie, do you know any ways to diy body paint that is safe to use on skin and dry fast? I found some videos taught to mix food colors and body lotion(something like that) but it never dry and can't stay long on skin, also easy to ruin if you touch it. So please make a video with it if you have any idea for diy body paint, please please pleae, thank you.

Another option to color your sand is chalk! Just add sand to a cup and hold a piece of chalk and swirl it.I got this idea from AndreasChoice.Just wanted to put it out there☺️

Another way to color you salt is with chalk just put the salt in a cup and mix it with the color chalk you want make sure to use the big chalk!

If you want pastel colours you can use chalk to color the salt.

When I was little I thought those color pages with numbers needed certain colors to do it right. I was always saying, "Whoever made this is stupid because they don't tell you what colors you put on the numbers" XD
