@@cherr1982 Several months ago (I can’t remember when exactly) he posted a link on Instagram to a survey about a class he was developing. I’m hoping he’s still planning on doing it.
I've never sewn a single thing in my life but that hasn't stopped me from watching all your videos and being obsessed with your work! This is such talent. I love.
I'll say go for it. Family had discouraged me from doing any Juki sewing machine but I'm will slowly go by hand sewing and personal sewing machine and make it by actually learning and doing them. It takes time even watching the process can ignite a thrive for taking a leap by starting small projects you enjoy.
That will be interesting, it is quite hard to start out with where do i put them and how the patterns are made by scratch, or without buying the patterns. It is lovely process as i usually watch mother doing a paper garment (sorry forgot what's it called) layout that stream cuts the fabrics.
I as well, i am still learning how to sew by hand. More i watch he's video the more i want to get more knowledge of fashion sewing skills one day at a time.
I appreciate the attention you give to detail(s) while you sew. You also talk and include helpful hints. I find what you do and design really inspirational. Thankyou for sharing your gift.
I cannot sew to save my life but here I am watching all of your videos after getting addicted to your RU-vid shorts!🤩😂 These are more than just dresses- they are works of art!
I'd watch an hour long video of this. Love watching how you piece things together. Love the voice over. Love your flare. I'm looking forward to what comes next.
I love that dress. It gives me so much inspiration to see you create it from scratch, develop the pattern and sew it. I’m just getting back into sewing from 40 years ago, and you’ve provided such inspiration to me.
My mom is a tailor and my childhood were so familiar with the tools you use. Really love to see designer that sew their craft on RU-vid like you. Giving me a sense of nostalgia plus your dresses are gorgeous.
I love how I'll nod my head with a contemplative look on my face while you talk, like I totally know how to sew and understand you perfectly lol. In reality these kinds of skills are foreign to me, but watching a master make wearable art is so calming.
Dear Gunther, I’m a black woman and trained in costume construction. I have to tell you that I LOVE your style. Your attention to detail, matching your nail polish to your fabrics and your 💋jewelry! Would love to meet you (I’m in Austin TX)! Blessings on blessings on blessings to you!!!💃🏽 You add so much joy to life by being your authentic self. Shine my brother SHINE ON ✨!!!!
"I just want to make what inspires me" Words I should live by. I have so many ideas that I am in love with, but because of some health stuff I can't spend much time working on things right now (and before my excuse was little time becof work) so I tell myself that no matter how much I love my idea it's not "practical" it's too "weird" or "no one else will like it but you" So even though I have the fabric and everything ready to actually sew it, I don't. Thanks for in inspiring quote.
You make amazing clothing. I love how your grandmother and mother supported you so much 💖 Love the final look of the dress. I can also envision it with a pencil skirt under layer for an evening gown look too. You are re-inspiring my own sewing story
I love your full length videos, and you are just amazing at what you do. Personally, I think you should have won on project runway, their loss. But yeah, I have a small like mini sewing machine that I have never used and you are inspiring me to finally learn to use it. I learned to see when I was a child, my grandmother taught me. But I have forgotten how, so definitely going to be picking that up soon. Thank you for what you do and you ROCK ❤️
The barbie dress brought me here followed by the tick tick compilation and then this and OMG what can u day your voice is really soothing and I love watching your creations your super talented and you make me want to see new sucriber here this isn’t normal the sort of content I would look for but damn I have actually found a new love 😍😍😍 watch this space whilst I binge watch your videos 🔥🔥🔥
I really admire your work and appreciate the fact that you show and highlight how you press the seems open after you sew them closed. There’s another sewing channel I watch and the seamstress doesn’t press the seams open and it drives me crazy. Even though her creations are beautiful, they don’t appear crisp to me. Great dress! 😍❤️💕
Fabulous!!! 🤎🖤🤎🖤🤎🖤 I love extra time you spend on the intricate details and making sure to press everything beautiful!!! Also loving your nails and polish color!!! 💅🏻
Every single video you have the most gorgeous nails, polish, shape everything, and never a chip in sight! Just wanted to say that I love your polish choices they're always so moody and beautiful! Oh and I subscribed obviously and if I can share a small suggestions it's to make thd ending of the video where you show off the finished product slightly longer so we can enjoy it a bit more. Best wishes :)
Your so talented and you blow me away more and more with every video. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations with all of us. Bless you sweetie☺
This is such a gorgeous dress!! I learned so much- you explained things so well...everything just clicked in my mind... it all made sense . Thank you so much ❤️
Gunnar you are awesome👏👏🌟🏵 Thank you for sharing every bit of how you create a dress! GENIUS 🎉 You are a brilliant teacher too! Much of what you share …I learnt many moons ago. by my mistakes. I didn’t have anyone to teach me…and was fearful of making a mistake, so I followed the store bought pattern “to the letter”. After many many years and through trial and error my projects became more relaxed…I became more adventurous! I smile when you give us your “pearls of wisdom” and I mean this as a compliment 💛🌟! If those who are learning from you follow your suggestions they will learn the ‘right way’ of 🧵 🪡 , and avoid making many errors.
Hi Gunnar, O M G... your Hunger Games creation is so glamorous. Could be worn with stilletos or combat boots, glam glam or grunge glam. Your long videos go by as fast as your shorts!! It's a nice surprise when a new dress hits my feed. I've always found construction fun, but your level is through the roof!🌷🌷🌷
You are amazing and I really love your videos. So inspired to hurry up and start on a new project as well! Can’t wait to see more of your videos and take in all the tricks and tips you got. Thankful for the thing you said about the pins, to wiggle it a little bit. Such a great one! And hell yeah, I rather break a needle than get something stitched all wrong. Keep doing you and I hope to see some more sewing by you. And the dress is absolutely gorgeous 👏
AMAZING.... no words for ur creativity. Love all the dresses that u made ... You should be recognized and Awarded for ur creativity and patience. Lots of love and support from me
That was amazing to watch! I also learned a few tricks along the way that I can apply to my sewing. I don't wear nail polish, however yours was stunning, along with your dress! Thank you for sharing your talent.
Omg, it’s GORGEOUS. I have to slow your videos down to 75% so I can figure out what you’re doin with the whole muslin-draping-pattern-making thing. Thank you. You’re an absolute gem. ❤️
I had a dress similar to this in 1986. It had large buttons (of course) down the front, 3/4 sleeves and was cotton in a turquoise (of course) and white print, and now, same tiers, same bodice but fabulously evolved by you! Bravo!
I learnt so many new things watching this video, and I’m a pretty experienced sewer. This is the first full length sewing video of yours that I’ve watched but it certainly won’t be the last. Thank you. 🤗
This Perfection is what I have seen My Mother do when she is creating amazing garments .. and Now YOU.. no one else I’ve noticed to put emphasis on neatness !
I love the sound of the seaming from the sewing machine. If 15 hrs, I'd definitely love to watch at each pace segments. But it is up to the youtuber to decide what best for your videos. If in the fabric stores, esp from LA market plazas I'd will like to see how you will bargain down to around 20$ less. Plus I'd have a habit of going for bundles so it gonna be tough if going for contour drapery sewing dress. So, doing the needed measures and limited budget of how much to spend in the fabric store is gonna be hard if it like shopping in similar to candy/toy stores. And yas i will definitely iron the edges seams to have a best results. Thank you for showing your set of sewing skills. You're awesome keep it up and express to your heart content through your dresses. Thank you.
I also wish to know how the process of cleaning these fashion clothes, the garment or dry cleaners and hand-wash, what can it be prolong for a long time. I always worry mostly on good habits of preserving and upkeeping it including wash/dry laundry process. It is important to maintain the best solution for not tearing the beautiful clothes. Any suggestions on most of the dresses and fashion clothes you do? Sorry if not understanding i can rephrase it.
I'd love for longer videos, you have a lovely voice and I would definitely watch in full and then replay to sleep to! I do with a lot of my favorite creators 😝 even the same type videos with voiceover peppered in! If you are ever interested, you definitely have the audience for longform content. You make me want to create, even if I'm just altering an existing garment in some way, sketching something, or styling myself in a way I never would. ABOVE ALL, thank you for sharing your work with us ❤️ you'll probably never see this, but your videos make me happy, so thank you.
Omg this is so cute and fashionable,i just love the colors,i absolutely love this, dude you are a blessing and a masterpiece,i love your creativity and fashion you are a inspitration,oh i forgot i am from Romania, and i am in love with your channel, you spread so much fashion, creativity and joy in the world, love it !
OMG! You are so inspiring! I love yellow(can’t wear it to save myself but love it none the less). A goal I have this year to to learn how to make a proper pattern for myself and finish my corset I started 5 years ago with Crikey Aphrodite. 💜
Found you via RU-vid Shorts last month, and have followed your work obsessively ever since. Thank you for breaking down draping and pattern making as these are things I am still confused with (super beginner here). Looking forward to more creative work. Love from the Philippines :)
