Yes my dear you can but remember they will leave spaces in between and you may need grout to fill the spaces. So to avoid that i prefer applying one by one.

@Margaret Mixon Yes this is true it can leave gaps sometimes....To try avoid this, make sure you measure the area you'll be placing the mosaics first. When you plan the design all measurements must be accounted for. Then make sure the rows/strips you cut accurately fit in the space😊 If the measurements are out by a few mm, then yes you will need a matching grout/filler. Both ways work hun. Try & See what works for you. No way is wrong🤗. It will still be beautiful. Hope your creation comes out well.
