You are genius 😘🤩🥰 Believe it or not ,,, that branch candle holder You made looks much better and more beautiful than the original one ❤ Everything you made is amazing 👏👏👏👏 I love watching your creativity ,,, good luck 🙏
The bench & tree are my favs in this video. I would not have known they were DIY projects. Everyone one of the projects in this video would be fun to tackle. Thank you for sharing with us.
I liked your tree better than the original. I think it would have been a better idea to make a bench sturdy enough to sit on. My favourite project was the branch votive candle holder. Well done!
Enjoyed all the projects. I really liked the linen covered books. This shouldn't be hard for me, cause my generation covered our school books in school. Lol The bench was so awesome, I just have no where to put one. I loved it so much. And last, the frames are so unique and so much cheaper to do yourself. Win, Win. Great job on all of the projects.
So brilliant. Especially the tree is genius. May I offer a word of caution regarding the tea lights and the wooden candle holder... It might be safer to use electric ones? There can exist a bit of a fire hazard.
I’m so inspired! it’s very impressive to have have a video compilation of so many cost-saving projects of items that I hadn’t thought of creating myself, until now. Most of these are timeless which makes it worth our time in creating. Thank you for sharing!
Really pretty. I think I would have flipped the tea lights over & painted those to match. Or bought some in the clear plastic that disappears visually. #details
Your makeovers are awesome. The tree and bench have always been my favorites. Of course they were all awesome. Your persistence and patience are always impressive. I just noticed a couple of videos ago you always insert a Bible verse in the description info at the bottom. Thank you and bless you for sharing those.
You are always too kind. Thank you and YES to the verses. Daily doses of God's word are so important to me. ...makes me want to start a different channel! :) (PS: Please pray for me--struggling with some neurological issues and June 2024 was a real doozy.)
I'm sorry to hear you're having health issues. You'll definitely in my prayers. God is the great physician so just remember he's got you. Trusting he will lead you in whatever your decisions. Much love.
Your diy projects are absolutely stunning, you got a new subscriber. Btw, idk if you're aware but the dollar tree sells the little candle votives just like the dupe you made, which would have made it practically identical ❤.
These were all excellent hacks. Loved the tree the best. Perfect dupe. In the future, if you buy artwork that has a beveled edged matboard you can always use spray paint on them. They turn out well if you don't saturate the mat (use several light coats). They turn out looking brand new and you keep the bevel.
You could also buy reclaimed lumber at some antique stores or resale stores. May not be available everywhere but where I live those types of stores are a dime a dozen.
I have not tried it but I always wonder what distressing would look like by sliding the wood on gravel or even aggregate pavement. It seems like it would add great marks WITH POSSIBLE DISCOLORATION in places.
GREAT ideas, so impressed with your branch candle holder and the bench! Loved all of your projects, I will definitely try some of those myself, you inspired me!
I'm new to your channel, but I've already subscribed and saved this video. I want to go back for the dimensions of your bench. Everything you duped turned out amazing! You have a beautiful home.
Loved the linen-covered books. What would elevate them even further would be to cut a couple of end papers (marbled maybe?) from scrapbooking papers. Glue them to the inside covers to conceal the folded in edges of the linen. The votive candle tree looks better than the original-kudos to you. The skinny bench is wonderful. Would be a great way to use a recycled barn plank, together with whatever new or recycled 2x4s you can find.
The bench was definitely my favorite. I was contemplating making my own, however, you've inspired me to make this bench once I am finished remodeling the room that it's going to go in. Thank you for sharing. 😁
Hi our creative Tasha. You have inspired me to do more home projects by myself.I love all of them but my favorites are the "metal" tree you did with the black paint ...gorgeous. I love the big tree, the bench and the linen books. I just noticed I have a littke Van Gogh art book in linen. I saw in the last commenta someone said something about you not feeling well...back problems naybe. I hope you are better if I am remembering right .❤❤❤❤
Thank you Rita! Neurological issues actually 😓 June has been pretty scary, frankly, as I try to untangle what's going on. But God is walking with me ❤️
This is my first time watching you, i did subscribe. I loved all your projects my favorite was the bench, i love making things look really old. God bless😊
Hi Tasha, this is my first video of your awesome dupes. Thank you for sharing. I love 💕 your bench. I think it looks better than the original. What is the key to finding great ancient pieces like you have at Good Will? All I find is junk. Is it location or do I not look long and hard enough? Any suggestions? Thank you for your inspiration 😊
My stores have so much junk too and for every trip I make on video and find something there is at least one trip where I leave empty handed. Location plays some role for sure but frequency and persistence are key. Also mixing in Facebook marketplace shopping and yard sales with thrift stores will maximize the finds 😊
Your dupes are great. I particularly love the branch candle holder and I think that will be a project for me this fall. I just found you tonight and have subscribed so I look forward to seeing more of your creativity.
This video popped up in my feed. I am now subscribed and binging all of your videos. I appreciate your ideas and trying new things. Unfortunately there are no Goodwills or decent thrift stores near me so it's an all day trip when we go. Can't wait to see your future videos!
Great work. I liked your tree better than the other one. Using poster board for a mat is genius and you made the bench top look really good. Even though the bench is only for decor, I can see it collapsing one day, because of its length it won't take a lot to fold sideways. I think I have to subscribe, I like how you do things.😅
I just came across your channel today and I just love what you have made so now I'm a new subscriber lol looking forward to binge watching more of your videos from Dublin Ireland
I believe the glass jar your husband found looks like the small size from Dollar Tree minus the final. A large one that is a couple of inches larger is also available when the come in. Just food for thought.
In regards to making your own tree, my father, who was very ahead the times, would buy the cheapest XMAS tree on the lot take it home and cut and drill the extra limbs then insert them were needed. We were always amazed on how beautiful our tree turned out!
Oh wow that candle holder! I want to make this! I have several battery tea light candles I want to use. Love it all! I love yours better than the retail.
