In this video, I share my experience with DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish And Pads. The DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish’s spray application is designed to provide proper dosing and polish distribution on the polishing pad. Spraying on the pad also reduces excessive product use.
Instructions for use:
On a clean polishing pad apply one or 2 sprays to evenly coat the pad with polish.
Start your machine while on the surface to avoid polish sling.
The Gold Standard Polishing System works best at low speeds (Rotary 4-800 RPM, DA speed 3-4), and without pressure.
Work a small section in overlapping passes. Wipe off polish residue with your towel of choice.
If using both pads, it is not necessary to wipe off the polish residue.
When your pad becomes clogged with residue, clean your pad or change for a new one.
DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish.......diydetail.com/products/gold-s...
The Gold Standard Polishing pads are engineered to work in harmony with the DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish. The waffle faced foam allows for effective cutting while providing a finish that will make any detailer proud. Combined with the Gold Standard polish these long lasting pads run cooler than flat foam pads and provide a smooth user experience.

To avoid splatter, hold the spray polish aimed directly at the pad and spray into the pad, not across it, and it'll take 1-2 sprays to get a feel for how far back the nozzle should be from the pad but it's a quick learning curve. Spin the pad with your finger or run the machine for a moment and it'll also improve how the polish is distributed into the pad. Very impressive results for a polished aimed at DIYers!

Brian, how would you compare this to 3D One or Koch Chemie F6 or M3O2? Changing pads and not using more product blew my mind. Can this cut like an 3D ACA or H9 Koch Chemie with the proper pad? It seems this is extremely versitile without using more product. Is this true? Can I simply change over to this one GOLD STANDARD? PS: I was a user of the Optimum spray polish and compound when that first appeared, so I am familiar with spray able polishes.

@jayhoughton558 Год назад
Yvan shows how to use it in his videos. It turns on the polisher for a second and and back off. As it spins down he does one spray right into the pad. (Sort of just on one side of the pad so a fairly narrow mist). The spinning pad distributes it evenly. One spray per ‘session’ is all he shows to use.

Lubrication, cooling, continuously cleaning the pad using Yvan's method, wet wiping the polish residue, lots of benefits teaming up this polish with a rinseless solution, but as Brian shows for those who polish in a traditional method it works that way too.
