Today, I’m trying out the new Rinseless Wash sponge from DIY DETAIL. It’s a combination sponge made from 2 other rinseless sponges and combined into one. Check out the video for more details.

Thank you for the review, happy you like Yvan’s Legacy. He designed the BRS in 2006, the BGS in 2015, the UBS in 2018, and now the Legacy. We almost called it the Evolution.

Maybe the next iteration could be gold and red? I like that I can see dirt and staining on the colored foam. I'm always guessing when to give my UBS an APC wash.

I am curious to use the Legacy. I have the red and black. I have had the red for over a year and got the black like 4months or so ago. I will say I feel the same way. the red to me is much softer than the black. I conforms to body panels much better and I have gone back to using the red over the black now.

Don’t believe one needs that fancier grit guard … just a simple round one on the bottom works. That sponge will clean up with a “dunking”

Great Review brother. Yes this legacy sponge looks and feels great. Also has a bigger footprint that the UBS. You're saying it's cold out there in Vegas 😂. How cold was it out there. Up here in NY we are in the low 30s. The cleaning power of the Rinsless is top notch the way it just quickly removed the dirt off that sponge when you showed the dirt on the sponge. I may get that detail guard bucket. Looks enticing 👍
@DetailingBreakdown
@DetailingBreakdown Год назад
Well, we r not cold compared to u guys but for us it’s chilly. The cleaning power is good on the rinseless, and I love the Detail Guardz products. I so happy I found them at Sema. Probably, my favorite accessory/tools/products of the year. Especially, since I do so much rinseless washing. The whole set up it great!

Was there any protection on the car prior to you using the DIY products? Looks like the drying aid/ceramic spray left a really high gloss, but not sure if that's also due to prior wax/sealant/ceramic coating being on the car. Product looks promising/tempting to pucha$e.

I have both the UBS and BRS. Honestly, the black foam itself is softer; BUT, the foam is so dense that it doesn’t conform to body panels like the BRS does. I also find it temperature sensitive, washing in a cold climate it’s so hard that I find myself making so many passes to do what the BRS can do in 2-3. Just my two cents, I like Both of them. But I find the black works better in warm/hot water. Helps it conform a little better. Curious to try this sponge when it comes out

Can you try using the side of the sponge so you can show everyone how it scratches your car from the glue that’s joining the two sponges together?
@DetailingBreakdown
@DetailingBreakdown 2 месяца назад
Why would one use the side of the sponge?
@loufalcone

I guess, when trying to stick the sponge into tight areas like the doorhandles or underneath the grills that would cause the side of the sponge to rub. Thank you for the quick response 👍

They were saying one side (the red iirc) was for paint and black for glass. Or vise versa .. forget. Of coarse people asked if the black is safe on the paint .. and they said yes. I would use the black on pass one and red pass two ..one thing i dont like about the UBS is not seeing the dirt. At least the red will show if you missed anything.

Haven’t tried the gold but maybe one day lol. I’ve had 2 BRS for like 6-7 years 😂. They’re haggard but they work. I’ve also commented before on other videos. I hate surfactant washes, but man I’ll tell you what- DIY is something special! I got a gallon of ONR V5 and regret it lol. Absolute is amazing but the consistency is terrible- especially in a slightly cold temperature. It won’t come out 😂
