I love showing you how to make budget friendly home decor pieces that look high end. For the most part, I stopped shopping home decor stores like home goods, Pier1, TJMaxx, Ross and others. Being able to transition home decor season to season and change up decorating style is important, but it doesn't come cheap! Decorating for every style and season, while having a high end look can be difficult and expensive, especially if you have a tight decorating budget. In this video and all DIY videos, I show you how to give your home and every space in your home a boost with DIY decorating projects. Don't be afraid to step out of the Dollar Tree shopping hauls to accomplish this. I love the checkerboard. I have wonderful memories of playing checkers with my great uncle Paul. I will definitely be making one for our nautical makeover. We are doing our entire yard. It’s a huge undertaking but needed. We left our suburban home three years ago. And grabbed a foreclosure home just to live in until our daughter graduates from college. Then we plan to move up to a place we purchased years ago by the river. So of course we planned to fix up this house for resale. But we fell in love with this community. Now we can’t see ourselves leaving. And the makeover is getting pretty exciting. We got a big above ground pool. And next a big deck is going in, a tiki bar. A hot tube. Water features. And today we worked on the back porch. It really needed help. I did use drop cloth curtains at one end to give privacy to the couple next door. And us. I love how nice yours looks. Really excited about the checker board. And I might need to steal more ideas. My daughter would like the bench for her sunroom. Thank you for sharing! Leslye

Awsome ideas!! Game changer using copper color. Dont get me wrong black and white are always good. Front walk looks amazing. The light made out of a hula hoop, and curtains! Your baby is super cute if you dont mind me stating that. I'm a mom of 4 and a grandma of 4. Babies are the best.
Those totes as pillows, excellent!! I had an old fabric shower curtain, I made some cushions for my granddaughters. The two older girls, brought a four bedroom home last year. Their grand Dad and their own Dad. is putting them a patio up. I'm so proud of them. So is my daughter, as they are her oldest daughters. I had to brag a little. But, I used the shower curtain, to make cushion for their thrift finds. Now, I'll be making some throw pillows, using those dollar tree totes. Thanks for sharing.

Oh girl you did a spectacular job on your patio! What a wonderful oasis ! I am old now and all of my children are grown but what a place to relax and unwind after they are all tucked into bed. But now that I'm old and my husband passed away, I'm going to do this for myself! It's fall now but I'll have everything ready for spring and put it all together. The hoop light and the hanging basket solar light was my absolute,Ute favorite! I’m going to do the hoop for near my garden shed and over the patio, I will need 3-4 of those over the painting, maybe 5, lol. It’s a huge patio. The solar baskets I’m going to hang in some trees. Morning girl, you know I still have not made that checker board. I am gaga over it. I am smitten with the pillows made from tote bags. I have a winter picnic today. That patio chandelier just made me hit subscribe. I love it. Lots of great ideas. I am doing up our balcony patio on the cheap because we are saving for a wedding. I will for sure be making those pillows and the checker board, but I’m going to figure out something to use as chess pieces - probably spools and wooden beads/blocks. Thanks for posting this video.
Oo!! Thanks for the porch idea! I have a cement front porch and the previous tenants painted gray with indoor paint *slaps forehead* So I've got what didn't peel off, mostly scraped away, and have been trying to think of something to make my porch look nice. YOU my darling, have just given me a new porch!!! The swing, the flooring... you're feckin awesome!!! SO glad I found you!!! I am sure you know, but if you ever get bubbles in your vinyl, can use a pin, and then smooth it. Will let the air out and won't see the hole. :)
P.S. Pool noodles and extra styrofoam is also good for putting in the bottom of pots for aerating, and saving on the amount of dirt you need for plants. :)
I love all the DIY's but my favorite is the hula hoop lights! I will also be making the plant hanging swing and I showed my husband the front door make over. So I've got my fingers crossed on that one. Thank you!
We have the same setup out back. Drop cloths around the back porch, and above ground pool in the backyard. Love closing those curtains and lighting our gas fireplace on the back porch. Traps the heat but doesn't kill us with gases! So nice! Those drop cloth curtains rock!
