This brings back memories. I made little girl dresses for a Company called Ginger Jones of California. I have one daughter, and I made all of her dresses. She is 50 now and has three grown-up daughters. This makes me want to pull out my machine and start sewing for my 1year old grandbaby. Thank you for sharing. I will be keeping up with you. Love, love your dress.❤
I absolutely loved your Lorne video!!! I feel so confident now that I can be successful at sewing. Please do not stop making these wonderful, patient, well-executed dress tutorials. God Bless you!
I loved this video, Jessica! You have such a fun personality and you explain things really well! You also are super motivating! Sometimes I get intimidated by anything more than just very basic sewing projects, but your confidence makes me feel like maybe I could sew that dress too! Thank you! 😊🌺😊 ~Denise
Hi Jessica, I live in New Hampshire and with the cold and snow I decided to try and take up sewing dresses for my granddaughter. I saw one of your videos and absolutely enjoyed it. You are amazing with explaining directions. The only problem I have run into is I downloaded the watermelon pattern and it came out on 2-8x11 sheets of paper with tiny patterns of lines. I am lost with this. Jessica you should make a video for people like me who are use to the envelope patterns. Ha ha I just gave my age away! Love your video'
I love your attitude and the way you talk to us like we’re your friend. Also good camera work on the closeups. I subscribed and look forward to many more lovely videos.
Oh how I wish I could sew this good.I keep trying and one lady said you will get it .I am afraid because I am 74 and will die sooner than later .I do keep trying .You really are the best .Your patterns look so much more simple than the store brands ,Are they ?
Make sure you put on all your creations on here, you are great to listen to and so clear on your instructions, starting my first Lorne and glad I found your demo!
When I pin fabric horizontal to the raw edge, I have to stop every few inches to pull out pins otherwise I risk breaking my sewing needle but when I pin vertical to the raw edge, I place the pins far enough away from the seamline I'm sewing so I can sew straight down without stopping to remove pins. When I'm done sewing the seam, I go back and pull out all the pins at that time.
I just found your channel.. this is the only video I have watched so far but I have learned a lot! I have the same overlook machine and had no idea It could do a ruffle ..now another thing I have to Google LOL
Hi can you give me the name of your cover stitch machine and ruffle foot,, im so glad i found you, your videos are helping me come out of my depression and get back into sewing again
Thank you so much for this video! I have the same serger and so confused on how to gather the skirt. I'm making my first dress ever, yay! What are your settings on your serger to make the gathering foot work? Mine looks crazy, lol.
Hello, where can I buy the pattern for this dress, I do not have a printer but, would love to give it a go; You make it look easier than anyone else on line. Thank you. P.S. I am in United kingdom. Your Daughter is gorgeous too!!!!
Lorne pattern does not exist when I use your go to page. There is no little girl with crossed legs on the pattern and no dress with ties in the front. Where else may I find the exact pattern?
