Me gusta tu idea excelentísimo teófilo,😄😄.
timing chain is meant to bear load of just head rockers not the whole bike and two commuters, this setup will work only for few days and eventually fail, it would be better if a sproket is welded/mounted on magnet and crank should be truned from there via a proper drive chain, not this tiny miny timing chain. cheers
You could have taken out the piston gently to reuse it in case next time..bit more job but would have been winning move..any ways great job and nice idea..now expect that the petrol dollar guys will hunt you hahaha
I love the basic idea dc to ac by inverter, and potensio to adjust the speed, and the lubrication still genuine The rest, charging you can use 2 battery, suply and charging The safety keep it from rain
Excellent idea of converting IC engine bike to electric bike by using Bosch cutter and the inverter. Design for some powerful battery like lithium ion a new battery is in the making called Sodium battery for better power. All the best
Well, that saw does NOT have an induction motor. It's a universal brush motor. The DC wires from the battery to the inverter are not heavy enough. At max load those wires will be passing 150 amps. Every tenth volt of loss on those wires reduces the inverter's efficiency and risks blowing out the FETs. I used to evaluate inverters from China with a test bench I designed for the employer. A LOT of inverters failed on that bench, and we often got complaints from customers about their inverters dying. ALWAYS they did not follow the installation instructions, failing to employ the proper primary gauge wire under the specified length.
Lol, wow! Perfect timing! I am building a mini bike and now thanks to you! I have the option to make the engine electric!!! Kick ass!!!! I was rebuilding a gas engine and for some reason I haven't recieved the gasket I need for the oil pan. So how are you recharging the battery? Lol, never mind! Your using the existing wiring on the bike! Awesome!!!!! Aha ahaha! No, I have to wire mine from scratch! Ah man would be awesome to have a friend on the next project! Lol
Best creative ideas, well done dear, 100%possibility with this technique!!!! But engine oil must dried up quickly due to opening of connecting main chains.
Using the timing chain as the main drive, which I assume is what is happening,.I don't think the chain will last long at all. A great effort, better than I could ever do, but maybe expensive to maintain?
this engine still require lubrication, we didnt see any lubrication on timing chain, oil is drained perhaps for the sake of video but you cannot run this setup without engine oil
good video and good bike ;the electric energy is nessecity now but the only probleme is the prise and durancy of the batery i will bay a simple bisecal inchaa allah...thanks frend and good luck...KADATIS from Algeria...!!!
@ Tenhnical Looks very effective, brilliant job. What is the range of this bike? Battery capacity and speed affecting range, can you give me a estimate? At what point if any does the battery or motor overheat if at all? Thanks
Those motors are not efficient, they are designed to give a burst of energy for about a minute, then need to rest for 2 or 3 minutes. I guess with continuous use, the battery would be flat at 10km, or the motor would overheat at even less distance. The motorcycle engine is probably 8kw, the electric motor output, is probably 600w, trying to give the same effect as the original 8kw motorcycle engine.
The problem is that the battery will run out immediately because the generator on the motorcycle is not designed for this purpose at all your brother The problem is that the battery will run out immediately because the generator on the motorcycle is not designed for this purpose at all your brother is from Syria 👍✨
This is literally electric! haha ha. The first rain he takes with her will be shocking! )
Do you think timing chain is strong enough to pull the bike? Dont forget that the chain was made to spin the overhead cams and not meant to pull the bike.
Great work, however, that poor 12V battery will have to push over 100 amps under load using a power inverter. My estimate is about 5 - 10 km range running on first gear at low speed. Efficiency could be improved using a 48V inverter instead and a 48V lithium battery, then only 25 amps would be required to get to the 1200W motor. (Power = Volt x Current) My enduro ebike uses a mid drive motor (Bafang BBSHD), can run up to 4000W, has a range of about 120km with a top speed of just over 70km/h using a 3kwh 72V lithium battery pack. See it in action here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UQLe6021ZpQ.html (Build setup and specifications at the end of the video) Cheers
I suspect the saw contains a rectifier and a brushless DC motor. AC induction motors at that size don't provide as much torque, which is vitally important for power tools. If that's the case, the inverter is a waste of mass and power.
You can use dc power, Standard Lead Acid batteries to power brush motor, but use with off on switch, variable switch will burn out. Also under current will make the motor labor and get hot. Low amp rated batteries will die quickly under load conditions. Hope this helps.
Do you still need to lubricate the crank shaft? And what about the rest of the connecting rod spinning on the crank shaft. Does it just spin freely in the crank?
Interesting to watch, thoughtfully done 👌👍. But what's Bosch motor's life? Is that cutting machine designed to operate continuous 30 mts operation at least? I doubt. It's not designed to take the load of bike nd our average 70kg weight! It's overloaded 🤔 Can't imagine the wear and tear of Bosch
