Your apartment must be very generous on what you can change, lol. Well, mine might be as well, but I live on my own and my income fluctuates, so I'm scared of being hit with huge charges when I move out (like, this place starts suing you for rent if you're more than two weeks late 😬. I like my apartment, but it's not really large or fancy enough to be so hoity-toity like that. But it's leagues better than "the hood" where I used to live so I'll follow their rules, lol). Anywho, ramble aside, this was a gorgeous makeover. That bench came out amazing.
Aaah you're back. Hallways in Germany are tricky. We had to split our shoe rack and I hated it for so long. Then XXLutz had sale and we got a really pretty closed one like yours! :)
My thoughts exactly! They're a little narrow yet takes up quite a chunk of space in the apartment (in fact our hallway is larger than our bathroom 😂) I also hated our old shoe rack so much!! I'm glad you got a new one >:D

I love this question because I put a lot of effort into getting right proportions 😂 For the mirror, I made sure to hang it at a height where Pat (he's 1.8) could see his head and I could still see my thighs; so that was about 1.75m off ground (top of mirror) For the arch I wanted about 6-7cm around the mirror, and about 10cm white space from the wall. Exact measurements: Doorway = 196cm tall Wall = 90cm wide Mirror = 55cm wide x 90cm tall Arch = 68cm wide x 181cm tall Hope it helps :) A tip is also to just use some tape to mark the spots before actually hanging anything, to see if you like the overall proportions!

It is painted in a very light apricot and I plan to surround the mirror with a matching darker shade. Even though I love your sage green one I think it would be a bit much with two different colours at mine. It never would have ocurred to me that it might be possible to order a bespoke mirror online. I'm so glad you posted this! I hope mine will look as good as yours!
another idea (instead of the darker shade you mentioned) is that you can surround it with a white painted arch instead - it gives it some fake negative space that adds a lot of visual interest and could even make your room look even bigger ^^ but either way you choose to go i'm sure it'll look beautiful, good luck for your space
Your make-overs are so fun to watch and actually re-doable. I also live in a small apartment in Germany and don’t find most make overs copyable because they feature pretty big rooms or expensive furniture. Your creativity when it comes to creating stuff yourself is super impressive and you have such a good eye for detail. I almost wish you would re-renovate all the rooms just so I could keep watching new videos of you coming up with ideas, lol! Really impressive.

I just have to say, I love that you don't talk but put the text on the screen. I hope you don't mind me saying but I'm often watching these videos with a newborn baby sleeping on me or feeding at 2am so, the fact there is nothing to listen to, really helps me. Especially when I can't locate my headphones in the dark! Great videos BTW.
