When it gets dirty, you have to toss the whole thing. A removable cover made with a sewing machine and perhaps a zipper would last many years.

you could improve it if you want to save fabric. You should begin at the sides of the fabric to prevent waste! otherwise it is really great advice!

Why are you cutting the first piece right in there middle of the fabric horizontally? What a huge waste!! You could save on fabric just by turning he box vertically and cutting.
