Thank you for testing out these spray paints for all of us wanting to do similar projects. No doubt spray paint can transform an object into something beautiful and contemporary. With all the advances they've made with different finishes and textures with spray paint, it's a shame the nozzles haven't improved all that much. Holding that small spray nozzle down for any length of time will cause fatique and discomfort pretty quickly. I'm wondering if using a primer first or maybe trying to sand down the surface might help with some of these outcomes. I will be trying the Krylon Chalky Finish and Rustoleum Texture Spray Paint thanks to your demonstration. You did a great service to many diy-ers out there!
Hi, the krylon chalky finish you used first. Did it have more of a very white bisque porcelain look, and did you need a base coat and it did it wear well or scratch off? Thanks I am working on a project. 😊
Love it! Exactly the video I was searching for, as an easy repurpose solution. Now, let's see if our small community local Lowes has the spray paint I need. Thank you for keeping this DIY easy!
Appreciated the testing of these brands. They have spray paint grippers that work really well when using spray paints. They also aid in getting even coats.
Thank you for the video. I was wondering if you then spray clearcoat over it I’m always afraid of putting this on top of my good furniture once spray painted, I feel like even weeks after it still somehow dirties my furniture.
I think I liked the 3 that you liked. The colonial yellow and 2 textured ones. Question, did you do short bursts of spray or long strokes? I noticed a few drips on one of the vases. Did those drips get covered with a 2nd coat?
I spray painted a glass vase and the paint came off. What did I do wrong? Have you ever used mirrored glass rustoleum? What would you recommend? Does this product not stick to glass?
HI! Yes I've used mirrored glass restoleum. With Glass, you want to make sure to clean it and let it completely dry. Cleaning with alcohol is even better. Also only spray thin coats and let each coat dry before adding another coat! Hope that helps!
Thank you, this is great information you have provided. I've just stepped on the spray painting decor scene 😂 and your testing helped me decide which paints to purchase and how the ones I recently purchased will perform. Some of yours came out very nice!
Why didn’t that one vase work? Why was the paint like that? This is a great video.. I’m going to be pairing a very large glass vase so I’m trying to figure out the texture and color to use.
