I wonder if maybe longer rivets are in order, seems like its barely grabbing. Other than that, pretty awesome! And of course, its probably better to do the rivets before the velcro, but you didn't know that ahead of time.

How did they hold up? Ever lose a rode? Have you made any changes? Love the idea btw
