enjoyed watching you make the ghost and loved the bottles ..love your channel one of my favorite one's that I don't want to miss..Thank your for sharing.
Ok…. I’m making a trip to the Dollar Tree to get some styrofoam balls to make the ghosts. They were amazing and pretty simple to make. I really liked the apothecary bottles too. I have some old bottles in the barn that has that old white hazy look to them. That sounds like another project to me…. The Chocolate Rabbit has beautiful images. I want to do the Halloween Spell Book and add some clay or resin decorative elements to it. Awesome video Yvonne.
I have made these for at least 25 years. Its really fun. One year I hung them in my tree outside and realized it was my "family tree". I know kinda demented... 😆 👻
I also used golf balls attached to tall soda bottle. Taped bendable straws for the arms. When dry, I strung fishing line to hang. Then they float in the breeze.
I love the gosts they are so adorable 🥰 love the bottles too. Great video.... you could put them on a string undee the head and hang them for even more spookyness. Lol. God bless
I’ve never made these before but Loving the idea. I hand crocheted snow flakes years ago and starched them and stretched onto an ironing board with parchment paper and little sewing pins. Haven’t visited starching for quite some time but loving the cheese cloth ghosts!!!
Love the bottles, they look really good. Those ghost are so darn cute. Can't wait to see what you do in the booth with them!! Was so fun watching you bring it all together:) Have fun and I know you will. God Bless, Hugs, Rebekah
I made these ghosts during the early 70’s. I used old white sheets and white glue. No coffee grounds. Gave them cute flirty eyes and cute flirty smiles. Tied them around the necks with white string. Cut dowels into short pieces, painted them orange with a hot glue candle drippings and a black string wick. Then I called them either Halloween ghosts or ghosts of Christmas “presents”. Glued tiny gift wrapped presents all around the hem . Sometimes I glued tiny teddy bears in the ghosts arms. Sold a ton of them at craft shows. Some people have told me they still put them out at holidays. Cute on mantel or in tree! Mess to make them, tho!😢
OMG I can’t believe I let a day go by n didn’t see this video but here I am excited to watch another goodie. Oh the ghost were spooky. Seriously they were cute n clever darkening them up with your instant coffee. I liked the different sizes. The bottles looked really cool with those labels. I liked all the labels but the Etsy’s that are darker I liked more. There’s so many cute ideas to make for fall n Halloween n thanksgiving but I did decorations for holidays for years that I’m over it. It’s hard to get in the mood when it’s only yourself. I may put one or two items out. Not even putting up my Christmas tree this year. Sorry Yvonne, sometimes I get carried away with my thoughts. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟🌟
I don't usually decorate for Halloween. But I do fall. Having said that.....I want to make a few ghosts !! And I love old bottles too !!! Time to get the labels out !! Thanks for these great ideas!!
OH my gosh, those ghosts are so cute. I'm going to have to look for some liquid starch and give it a try! The jars came out awesome , Thanks for sharing.
Very nice! I made a ghost the same way maybe 20-25 YEARS ago…(got the idea from a craft magazine)…mine is 10 or 11 inches tall…I’m going to dig it out and add the lights😄 Thanks!
The little ghost are really so stinkin' cute! I might try my hand at making some. The bottles all turned out great. Amazing what a label will do for a plain ole bottle. As always TFS Yvonne.
Yes I am getting ready for Halloween by planning. I actually like my house too look just like a old Victorian haunted house. How long does it take you to prepare for the holidays? I plan all year and about a month and a half before I love to use old silver pieces that are tarnished. Cheap ones for painting black. And my kitchen is a witches apothecary. All authentic looking. Do you strictly do farmhouse holiday decorations? Christmas is farmhouse for me. Reminds me home. (Texas)
