You just tie both ends together with the excess yarn on each side. That's the way a traditional friendship bracelet is tied. You could always add clasps and jump rings if you want :)
Thanks so much! Been contemplating on opening a little shop since my sister and I love making bracelets and I've gotten a lot of requests to sell some.
these are very useful to me i love making bracelets but dont have the time thankfully you have reminded and shown me new ways to make bracelets so i can make them and take them with me where ever i go!!!! thank you soo much and please make more videos!!!!! thankyou!!!
It's best to use embroidery thread because it will knot better. Yarn is a bit thicker and won't knot as easily. But you could give it a try and see if you like the look of it!
hey thanks that was really fun, I used the square knot type with 7 colors( 2 of each color so 14 threads) and alternated to make a rainbow bracelet, turned out perfect, thanks so much :):):):):)
It is a little hard to explain, so that's why I did close ups demonstrating the steps. Just take your time with it, it gets a little complicated for me as well. But it's a fun hobby to try out :).
Make sure the middle string is held taut, and you knot the string all at an even pressure :). It takes practice, but once you've made a few it turns out better.
There are many names that people give the bracelets. I just named them according to the knots and how they look. If you do find my tutorial confusing, you can always replay it. I tried my best to demonstrate and explain.
I explain it in the video to make the complete knot on the remaining cords to your right. I had to cut out the footage of me completing an entire set because it was out of focus. But I do explain it.
I did the square knot bracelet and it came out great! I recommend using a thicker string for this type of bracelet though. Overall great video, thanks!
The first one I made did not spiral around the whole bracelet. I must have pulled it strange, despite my mistake the others came out beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial, and a new hobby. :)
awesome ideas!!!!! i remember back in school making those designs with plastic and using as keychains!...seems like it'll make very cute bohimean headbands ^_^
I luv 2 make these. I really don't get y so many people don't like this, but I luv it. I know another way 2 make the first one, but I never knew it found be made like that. Thanx!
You may be pulling too hard. Try to tug each knot at an even pressure so it's consistent. And if it "twists", when you pull the square knot place your finger flat on the knot so it stays flat. :)
You can use yarn , or braiding cord for anyone wondering , it will just come out a bit thicker :) embroidery floss looks better though, just an opinion from me
I have recently got into making bracelets I can now do all 3 of what you shown in your video and the Arrow look one :) So easy to do once you have the hang of! Good tutorial video too x
Are you sure you're doing the square knot? I know the spiral normally happens if you do only one side of the knot, (ie. only making a "p" with the right strand or only making a "4" with the left strand). Square knots are hard to keep track of, so it's normal for that to happen.
Because it's so simple they don't need to show it in the video. It's literally a single knot. It's just tying the strings together at the top! I can't even explain it
You are so good at teaching these I finally get it now Omg dude I made so many of these I have six on my wrist and I make them so the only way I can get them off is with scissors😂 I'm making more
EmEm's Playhouse I know this is really late, but if ever you still make them, you can actually use buttons as locks so you won't have to cut them off. You can search up some few videos to help you. I do this and it's really easy. 😊
