Carolina, your home has gorgeous curb appeal and it is so very inviting! I’m sure passerby’s wish they could stop and meander to see every detail. And, your front door has an intentional rustic appearance that I would have never guessed was an accident.
Hi Carolina I would suggest that you do another coat of stain on your front door but in straight up and down strokes to give it a better finish look. Your fall decorations and front yard is looking great!
Carolina, you did an excellent job. The only thing you have to do is match the windows to the door. I loved it the way before because everything was uniformed. Otherwise, everything else looks great 👍

I'm in the process of repainting my doors too. I've painted them before and getting it right can be tricky. I'm going to sand them down with my sander first to get a smooth finish for my paint. Then, use car bondo on any dents, prime and repaint using a foam roller. But I always take my hardware off before I paint and clean it up. Your learning its ok to make a mistake that's how we learn. You'll get it cause you always do. 😊 Decorations look so cute!❤

Your yard is beautiful. I would stain the door again the right way. There is a stamp kind of roller that we'll make the wood grain . We all goof up thats why it's fun it's probably an easy fix. Second coat of paint or stain is always easier to apply. You will be much happier with the door if you take the time and fix it. This advice is from someone who has made many mistakes in her D Y I. Life lol love all the landscaping you have done great work.
Thanks for the tip🥰👍🏾, but after much debate, I decided to repaint the door a different color 😂! Thanks for the advice and encouraging words though 🤗. I’ll probably try the faux wood door again, but on a different door 🚪on my home.
Hello Carolina All this time, I thought your shutters were black. Have you ever thought about painting them black? It would be pretty with a different color front door. That’s if you’re going to purchase a new door or even repaint that one. I don’t think you’re to fond of that door 🚪 😊😊😊

Love your yard. You worked so hard. I would just change the door back or change the color. How would you know if you would end up liking the gel stain if you’ve never tried it? I have painted things and didn’t like them and had to find what worked for my home so I get it.
