For the paper tuning frame, you can fill the bottom with sand and seal it with spray foam to make it a bit more sturdy. It also keeps it from shifting as you shoot. Great vid and my compliments on your workspace!!
Thanks for the tip Clifton! That's a great idea. As you know that PVC is pretty flexible, so that would definitely help it's stability (or..I suppose I could lay a couple sock full of sand over the "feet" to keep it easily movable. Thanks for the compliment as well and for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit, ai built mine from an old laundry hamper. Much thinner plastic than PVC so had to get creative. I kept getting all kinds of tears and never nailed it down until I spilled talcum powder on the feet and was able to see the "shift" with each shot.. You are right though, basically any weight on the bottom. One day I want to build one that flips down from the ceiling!
Your PVC paper tuning frame looks EXACTLY like mine! I could have sworn that I came up with that design on my own. Either great minds think alike...or we both knocked that off from the same source. Great video. Keep up the good work.
Haha that's awesome! Must be great minds right lol?? I think I kinda compiled it from a couple videos I watched, but can't remember lol. Works great though and that's for watching!
@Ryan16727 I think you may have intended this question for the folks at @BackwoodsPursuit. But, if not, I can tell you that I used 5/8" plywood (the good stuff) for my workbench topper. The construction specs for the workbench in this RU-vid video can be found at the 1:24 mark. Their workbench materials specs may be there.
@@gorankorovljevic810 haha that's the truth and thanks! It definitely didn't start out this nice....but over time, got it looking good 😊. Yeah, you can spend as much as you want on archery/hunting that for sure!
Or you can spend $10-15k taking it to someone else to have them do it. Not to mention you learn the insides and out of your bow and can easily make back the money you spend on this equipment once you get comfortable and begin working on others equipment.
@@BackwoodsPursuit great video and your welcome. Thanks for getting back I made my own arrow saw. No pictures at this time. Also liked you spine tester
@@nickd4579 thanks! Yeah, I've seen a few guys make their own arrow saw... doesn't look too hard. That spine tester was a fun little project 😁 Thanks for watching!
