I saw a thumbnail of the finished garden, and decided to watch your video. You come across as very friendly and sincere and I like your presentation and of course the work you did! Now I know what to so in my garden also. Subscribed :)
Thank you. Garden Bed on Front yard , 4 trees to build round wall with two rows , small round near Garage side corner , all together it is 140 feet. I ordered 700 concrete blocks from Home Depot.
Did you add drains so when it rains the water has somewhere to go. Im looking at a house right now that has this and the bricks shift because when it rains the water has no where to go
When you start laying down bottom row from lowest point , make sure each brick is level to next brick , so to make it happen, we need to dig a bit to place next brick , so at certain point where you are digging more than brick height , it is time to stop digging, instead place brick to start next level row
Beautiful wall! Could you answer, after I build wall, the dirt/top soil is going to be against my house wall, brick. Is there something I can put on the brick to water proof it? Like a tar of some sort?
You could add weed barrier cloth , and towards wall you could mulch if you want , or you have concern about the wall , you could add pebbles towards wall.
Did you put paver base all around r just only lowest level ?in the video u said “ step up to the next level , adjust the base by adding r removing the paver base to step up next level base “ is the mean I continue add paver base entire that level or only where they connect ?
I placed paver base as needed to adjust level , and mixed with sand/soil. For every block I had to check level individually for each block , and it is levelled with existing block too.
I built a long garden wall using concrete block last year and realized that it’s uneven. Is there easy way to fix it or do I have to start from the base taking out the blocks?
Hard to explain without picture of it. If the uneven part is removable easy and put it back , you need check 1. which are is more , i.e low height area or higher height area , then pick easy part to adjust. If I were I try to adjust 'low height' area by adding gravel or sand to make it even.
To make it level , we have to start laying the blocks at lowest point , so when it reach the point where you need two blocks for the height , that is where u start next higher level row. I explained it in video how I did 'step up' the next row.
@@marwanm8942 , when edging is started from lower side ( ground level) , when we keep placing brick and level the height for each brick , if yard is not flat and level at certain point , when we needed to dig more than brick height , that is where the spot we step up and match to next level row.
