In this video, I show you how to make inexpensive gifts for everyone on your list. These projects include teapot and canister sewing kits, Jordan shoe ornaments, people bookmarks (that are hilarious), sports team logo hot pad and oven mitt, an ornament with a live plant inside, a stocking pillow that can hold an additional gift, favorite book boxes, snowman candles, a DIY sharing/giving plate, doily earrings, a framed keepsake (using a loved ones’ old jewelry), a mini front door ornament, and a beverage dispenser turned ice cream sundae kit!

@@CanterburyCottage I have 7 siblings. All are alive, some not so much in perfect health but we're here. Mom is 1 month shy of 93. She had a fall and since needs a walker for stability. We all take turns being with her, 24/7. I know it's inevitable, but I can't see my life w/o her.

As always I loved everything! However, the mom ornaments touched my heart. I lost my only sibling and parents several yrs ago within a short period of time. Plus my brother and I have birthdays 5 days apart this month so it’s always a hard month. I think making a few ornaments is in order. I also know others that struggle during the holidays with losses, so this is a wonderful idea, thank you ❤️

Such good ideas..love the ideas of taking something personal or memorable and putting it in a frame, or the sewing and ice-cream jar to make it personal. Those jars could be filled with all kinds of interests....for the gardener. Hi. I really paid close attention to the craft related to Mom & memento. My mother has been gone for many years now and she died in December also. Coincidently enough, today is the anniversary for my father's passing. They both passed away in the same year. I have been using my mother's scrap materials for my DIY's but I didn't know what to do with the stretch watches like you mom's. Thank you for that inspiration and I will also make a framed memento with her fabric , watch or even jewelry! Just as suggestion: a video for the upcoming mother's day which focused on similiar memento or gifts to honor mothers would be great! Thanks for all you do! 🥰🤩🥰

I love the keepsake you created in honor of your mom. So thoughtful and personalized. Love the bookmark, too. The book boxes turned out looking amazing. I have used the battery operated tealight candles to make snowman ornaments. Add the face using a Sharpie. Glue a piece of pipe cleaner across the top of the snow man's head. Think: ear to ear. Add a small pom pom to each end of the pipe cleaner. Voila! Earmuffs on your snowman. Hot glue a loop of ribbon or twine to the back top and hang on tree or tie to a gift bag.

Great ideas, thank you for sharing. The table and napkin that you mod pudge. In the 1990’s we did this process which was called reverse collage. Aleene’s of Alene’s tacky glue. Has a craft tv show, my friends and I watched religiously. And this was one of the crafts we learned how to make. Man, I sold so many of them, I will a collaging maniac lol Fun memories

Once again! You are so very creative! I loved them all and my favorite was the ‘box books’. I’m surprised that the paper/card stock doesn’t curl when you use glue stick and mod podge. When I use water based adhesive my paper always curls. You have a magic touch!

Thank you, Robin! I don’t think I used both Mod Podge and glue stick on any project. I only used Mod Podge on the box books and Giving Plate. I used glue stick on the bookmarks and shoes.

Oh my God, I'd truly be so disappointed if I couldn't use the tea pots for tea any more because some kind of cushion was already hot glued inside! They'd make a pretty good gift on their own, without the sewing stuff inside. If I still were a young person at college, I'd definitely be super happy about a "normal" teapot. I love all your ideas. Your “MOM” ones touch me. We lost my Mother-in-Law on December 11, 2017. I can relate to what you are feeling at this time. June 07, 2018, I lost my husband just six months later. From July 2017 to June 2018, between our two families, we lost 12 family members, 3 in July 2017, two 40 year old males and my husband’s 60 year old cousin. We were on the way to her funeral in Tennessee when we got the call that my cousin had passed away. My other 40 year old cousin had passed away the following week. A year after this cousin died; his Dad, my cousin died of a massive heart attack. I have a bag of my MIL’s old watches. I may make my son a frame like that. He is the only grandson son.
