Don’t apologize for up cycling! It’s the way to go to reduce consumption and keep still good items out of the landfill. Great up cycling ideas are priceless. Almost all of my furniture in my entire house is second hand stuff that I’ve redone. It’s also a fabulous way to make one-of-a-kind decor that nobody else has. They can’t walk into your house and immediately recognize an Ikea or Pottery Barn or whatever brand item. 💕

Agree!! I love finding things from Facebook marketplace and thrift stores and diy them. My end tables, nightstands and dressers were all under 15.00 each and look brand new now!

What an adorable girl's room! DIY is the way to go with prices insane, chances are older wood pieces last longer with paint to up date them. Great finds, love the vanity area, can also double as school work desk for homework down the road. Fantastic job Kilee as always. Fun to watch the transformation! Your daughter is really sweet. If you have the tv's I would put one in every room. Doesn't hurt. Just put in basic cable. Yes they still make Dvds. I just bought one from Sam's club. I always wash new sheets before I put them on the beds. I use the flat and fitted sheet for covering. Looks like the outside windows could use a good cleaning. Good job for your husband when he gets home. I use Windex outdoor spray that you hook up to your hose. Everything looks really cute and I know she loves it.

Love the room!! I have a TV in my daughter's rooms. We have rokus hooked up to them. I let them watch it right before bed as a way for them to wind down for the night and they love it. Usually from 7-8 they watch it. Sometimes they fall asleep with it on and i have to go turn it off but it really helps them relax before falling asleep.

My kids used to have a tv in their room but they lack self control and would have it on at all hours of the night and it was affecting their sleep. I also took the tv out of their play room because they would just watch tv instead of being creative and playing.

I had an entirely different childhood to yours as mine was a case of parents not thinking b4 they had us, but I had a TV in my room and it was extremely beneficial. They are your kids so I won't tell you how to raise them but if you feel bad for letting them have a TV in their room you needn't be in my opinion- and yes I don't have kids of my own as maybe apprent in my other comments and my content but that is only because my partner and I are doing what our parents didn't do, we are thinking first. We are not able to give a child a decent life at the moment and secondly I raised most of my siblings kids so I'm not a total novice in raising children. - I think it is in more of when you let them watch it, if they have the means to turn it on when you are not wanting them to and like you said their access to uncharted content. Personally I benefited greatly from my TV in lure of a real parent I learnt a lot from films ect and will not be excluding it from my arsenal of parental tactics myself when we do have children but rather use it along side parenting not instead of like my mother did. I'm of the side that thinks it's a good thing. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Absolutely love it....so Kali has a downstairs bedroom and everyone else is upstairs? Is that right? I'm curious how that works out for you? I've always worried that if one kid had to be downstairs they would either feel scared or left out, so I've always strictly only considered houses with all bedrooms up. Maybe I'm over thinking it.

i like sustainability, its always better to 3R andn u did great with the room makeover as well, you have aesthetic eyes. Also, i think you should wear protection, like a facemask, the odour of paint aint great, especially when youre pregnant

My 2 and 3 year old share a room and they have a TV in there but their dad and I have the remote and they can't change what it on it, only we can and when we say. So, they get to watch TV in their room when they're in there for quiet time and before they fall asleep at bedtime

@@KileeRainbow yea, some people get at me for it though, lmao. My mom always had a TV in my room when I was growing up, from the time I had my first room until I moved out. Mainly so she didn't have to deal with me while she raised my brothers with her new husband. She legit brushed me off to others when she married a new man, and her new husband's dad stepped up and took care of me mainly. So, I spent most of my time watching TV or playing games on my TV in my bedroom, away from my family when I wasn't with friends or my grandfather. I only have contact with my grandfather. And my grandfather is technically my mom's now ex husband's dad who took care of me growing up. I don't keep contact with my family at all because of how they treated me. Pretended to care about seeing me but won't come to me even though I can't drive due to health and then guilt me saying they miss me and want to see me. Don't need that in my life honestly. I mean, my own mother didn't even care to come check on me in the ER when I was on life support after a series of seizures that led to life support. My fiance had to cuss her out and threaten her almost to get her to come see me. She didn't even care if the state was making my healthcare decisions over family seeing as I didn't have my Proxy papers drawn up for my fiance to decide on my behalf. So my mom had to. But if she couldn't, the state had to. Like seriously? I hope nobody ever has a mother like that! 😮‍💨
