Hi Felicity! Sorry for the delayed response to your comment. You can definitely make these in advance. The 'crunchy' feeling can be reduced by 1. Using thin layers of ModgePodge/Sealant 2. Breaking them in (as if they were brand new shoes. Since you have sealed the shoes you don't need to worry about making them too early as they will last long after your wedding day (Especially if you aren't wearing them out daily & just keeping them stored until the big day). Hope this helps + please let me know if you have any DIY'd Wedding video requests!
I’m having a hard time with the ribbon shoe strings. I measure it out with a couple inches more length and they still seem too short. And I can’t tie a bow as pretty as yours lol
Oh no! The laces can be tricky but luckily it is one part of the shoes that you have unlimited times to practice + perfect. :) (Sorry for the delayed response time I am just seeing these comments now).
Hi Rebi, Sorry for the late reply. ModgePodge is a sealant so, for the most part, they should be pretty protected. That being said I would say that you should expect to clean & treat your shoes with the same level of care as you would if you purchased a custom, handmade, fashion/clothing piece. Hope this helps : )
