It works. Apply a coat of clear spray paint over the hoop, then immediately dust the rim with the powder. When the first layer of paint dries, apply one more layer of clear spray paint. Don't inhale the glow powder dust!

After ordering a glow in the dark acrylic paint (which I don't know how bright it is), I saw this video. Also, I didn't know if acrylic paint is good for my surfaces, I ordered a universal spray top coat. I cancelled my order and ordered these. Thank you for saving half of my money. Ps. You can charge it with a UV light for longer lasting brightness and faster charge. I guess using a shorter wavelength light source is better. If that's true, theoretically it would charge up with x-rays much faster.

It would of been good to see the final product in action.... Maybe a few examples of swatches on different materials, wood, glass or fingernails, to show the strength of glow with one or more coats of your glow paint & its effectiveness when painted onto a surface properly, the big spill at the beginning of video is obviously glowing but does it glow that bright with 1 or 2, 3 or more coats of this glow paint???? My experience of glow in dark powder in a nail polish base, is that it takes numerous layers to get it glowing bright, how do I know this glow in the dark paint is any better??

@@electronicsNmore I saw a spill of excess paint, it's not really indicative of how many coats/layers of paint are required to get a rich glow like the spill which looks to be a layer of paint 2-3mm thick... I don't want to be wasteful when painting by spilling excessive amounts of paint everywhere.

Build your own star and have it supernova, then collect all the star dust and have it supernova at least 2 more times to make the heavy elements. Several billion years should do

Also a great idea to add a small mixing ball to the bottle. If you only plan on using a small amount, then ONLY mix what you plan on using. The glow in the dark powder will settle to the bottom of the bottle and require stirring if stored. I had no idea Banggood sold this powder. It's sold as luminous powder. Use lemon juice instead of nail polish. Literally wet a paper sheet with the mixture, let dry, make a plane, have fun.

The first few minutes very bright, then it gradually loses intensity. In a totally dark room you'll see it glowing 1/2hr -1hr later.

Yes, look for a paint that can be used on plastic. Before the paint dries, lightly dust the surface of the wet paint. After the paint dries, apply 1 layer of clear on top.

Wonder if there is a way to use this idea for washing regular white BBs for tracer rounds in airsoft. Like a white wash paint, just watered down glow powder. Let air dry. Wonder if the residue of the powder would stay so you still have smooth bbs in the end. 🤔

As time passes, the intensity gets less and less until it hardly glows. The more intense the charging light, the longer it lasts. Usually the first 15 mins are the brightest.

Some light don't charge it. Keep that in mind. It's a few specific lights that are capped and it's a huge difference.

Apply clearcoat, then CAREFULLY(wearing a mask), dust the wet clearcoat with the powder. Apply very evenly, and don't use too much! When fully dry, then spray clearcoat over the entire area.

Leaving the glow in the dark paint outside longer, will not make it glow longer in the dark. You only need a short exposure to bright sunlight. Thanks for watching!

You can use a special fabric paint, then dust the surface of the paint with the glow in the dark powder while it's still wet. Do it outside, and don't inhale the powder, even though it's non-toxic.

Black absorbs light. No good. Maybe try applying a light dusting of the power to your nails immediately after the paint has been applied.

Based on the information I read, and that came with my powder, yes. Strontium Aluminate powder can be mixed with water based body paints. Always test on a small area of your skin for a few hours before using. Doing so will allow you to test for skin reactions. You can read up more about this powder online. Thanks for watching!

The powder glows very bright for up to one hour after being charged by a bright light. 8 hrs later, and the powder still glows in total darkness. You'd be able to see the watch hands. Thanks for watching!

Once applied and exposed to a bright light for a short period of time, it will glow for hours dimly, but brightly for the first 15 mins.
