Awesome. I see other companies buying this exact slat board wall panel, painting it, and selling it for $300 - $700 which is insane. So glad I found this video.
OK I did the gun wall, bought 6 2'x4' sections. So I made it 12' long x 4' high. painted the grooves flat black, painted it 4 coats FDE. I already had the studs marked out. Screwed it i with a box of 2 1/2" screws. Used my Hold-Up Display hooks. It looks great, is secure and plenty of room for 12 long guns and over 20 handguns. Thanks for the video.
The black slats really set it off. Looks awesome! I’ve thought about doing this for a long time, but I’m glad I hadn’t, because if I had, it would have never looked this good.
I really like the black slats on the inside, the shadowing looks really good I’m looking to build a gun room, and I’m very handy. Thank you you save me a lot of money. They got a lot of nice rifles and pistols, and I want to keep them locked away, but everything accessed in one shot. I ordered some cabinets and I’m going to put a quartz countertop for my ammo and all the stuff I have Can’t wait it’s going to look beautiful and thanks for the tip
Just like others have said, great video and thanks for sharing. I'm off to Menards this morning to pick a couple of these panels up for my gun display - your project is going to save me lots of cabbage.
I am so glad I came across your video. I have been thinking of hanging my guns on the wall and have been looking for options. I am going to make this. It is very easy and looks sharp. I'm going to do the black lines with a light green. Thank you very much.
This is awesome! I can build this in my quilt room and hang all of my tools and notions on it! I can make another one to coordinate patterns for every quilting project! Thank you for sharing this video!!
Master Force Wall system at Menards would be a better option. You might want to check that out. It would take more weight also Good job either way though. Looks great!
Very cool! I have a neat color idea for anyone that wants to use it: Use red white & blue in the slots to make a subtle American flag design in the background
Was looking for gun room ideas and this popped up. First video and you did not disappoint. Not only cheap and easy, but looks like you bought online! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe!
Thanks, I have been looking for a solution for my stuff. it looks nice and is very functional. I built mine yesterday. the only thing I did different was to add the metal inserts for the slatwall for the wood screws.
Just purchased slat wall, boy did it go up in price. $97 for two 2'x4' paintable sections, to get a 5'x10' wall cost me about $300. but still cheaper than the PVC alternative and I can paint it how I like the PVC would be over $600 and you are stuck with the color.
This is way better than buying one. I’m going to that store and do my search. Any ideas if this setup can hold a plated vest, couple rifles and pistols? My worry is the weight. Mainly the plate carrier being about 45 pounds
@@rucksackransack I ended up doing it, all from Menards, but I haven't tried my plate carrier, holds 4 rifles, 1 shotgun, mags, and a couple of pistols without issue.
Check out the Viz Pro 6 panel door. Going to turn a closet in my house to a "safe". Wont attract a lot of attention and it would take a SWAT team to pull it down.
Bruuuuu... thank you! Funny thing, when I check my local big box stores, the exact same product is 10x (conservative estimate, not exageration) more expensive! At first, I thought your prices were only like that before covid/bidenflation... but they're still only $14 for a 2x4 sheet at Menards today! We dont have Menards in the south, but even with shipping, it's STILL WAY LESS (>50% savings) than a similar product locally. Now, crossing my fingers that it makes it thru the shipping process!
That turned out great! Do you mind telling me the name of the color you rolled on? I am really digging that color. Also was it a semi gloss? If not which finish is it. Thanks again. :)
Thank you for the video very informational! I’ve been having trouble finding this material. I’ve gone to two different hardware stores, Home Depot, and Lowe’s, but I’ve had no luck finding it. wondering what hardware store you went to?
Holy shit man, I like to think myself an out of the box thinker but I never thought of this. Definitely will be doing this soon, thanks for the video man
@@BrothersGunReviews have you found any combo to be too heavy? Just making sure when I put a kitted out pdw and ar10 up that I’m not going to peel it apart
@@citizenz94 I've had a POF AR10 (piston gun) on the wall with no issues. And that gun is HEAVY!. But you can always add the metal inserts for peace of mind.
