To be fair this kit does fit all the Sportsters, the Roadster is so far from the other platforms. They should edit the description and put in the caveat for this bike.
Nice job. I just had a battle trying to install my quick release genuine H-D fat boy saddle bags. I had to relocate my signals when I installed my removable sissy bar, so I “assumed” I was good to go. Well nope. H-D had 2 different kits for relocating the signals. My $50 kit didn’t move them enough to accept the bags. Now I need to spend another $100 and take the time to install another kit. I wish H-D would do things that didn’t cause you to spend extra cash
I've run into fitment issues with a couple of their kits. It seems they don't go back and edit the description of the part/kit to reflect fitment issues. I hope this video helps another rider.
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures Much appreciated sir. I actually bought one secondhand on FB marketplace, plus I'm in Ireland, but thank you for the offer. Love your videos BTW, very simple and informative, KEEP IT UP!
@@thefreshprinceofbelfast6228 No worries mate. If your FB Marketplace deal falls through, I'll work something out for you in Ireland. I make sure whatever I offer is globally.
Just got this, I noticed on your video, you don’t show putting on the bracket that goes on the battery bolt . Reason I bring this up is because I put that bracket on and it seems to push out my bag out
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures If you paused the video at 6:54 you show the bracket and bolt. The bag has 4 screws total inside. That bracket is supposed to go we’re your battery holding bracket goes to. Honestly I took it off and ran it like you because I didn’t like how much it was sticking out
Thanks for the video. I have this bag and the mount and I’m about to install it. I also just ordered a passenger mount&peg. Can I have both on the bike?
With this bag you cannot sadly.. the right side peg remains the left side is totally removed and the bolts for the peg are used for this bag. Thabks for watching. Eric.
@@maxibomaye2938 Ah gotcha Max. The factory put on way too much red threadlock. Go to the hardware store pick up a propane torch (cheap), Liquid Wrench or WD40. Soak the bolts for an hour then throw some heat on them. The torch will soften the threadlock and they should back out. Only other way is an impact driver. Let me know if this works. If it doesn't I'll post a link to a Impact driver for you. Good luck!
