Now this is more of a helpful tip i learn't from a friend on were to get some cheap hide poles that i later modified with the addition of hard points to make them much more easier to push into the ground.
The Washing Line Props were bought from ASDA for £3.50 each about a year ago but you can buy many different types on other sites like Amazon and Ebay.
The 19mm Aluminium Round Bar / Rod was bought on Ebay and should cost about £5 to £10 depending on the length of bar you order.

Another outstanding video Sir, with great hints and tips. I am a locksporter and at work we have lots of lathes/milling machines and a friend at work made me some plug followers from aluminium on the milling machine. The followers have to be a perfect diameter for taking cylinder locks apart and the milling machine does a perfect job. Thinking about your DIY project, I need to watch your video again on making shooting sticks as bought some lengths of solid plastic/stroke aluminium lightweight tubing that may do the job for a set of shooting sticks for me. Great video again and really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.

Another excellent idea! Looks like they extend a lot more than most purpose made hide poles too!
@HuntersVermin
@HuntersVermin 10 лет назад
HoldoverTV Yeah they do extend quit high and might even be used to loft decoys into low branches.

I was thinking....yeah that's great if you happen to have a lathe and then you did it with common tools. Well done! Thanks!

I am a big fan of your demo videos. I think they are among the best on the 'Tube. Wish I had that lathe. But I think I can work around it. Thanks David.

Great video! Having used the poles for a little bit, how have they held up? Is there anything you would change?

Hi David, so appreciate your videos. Inspired me to get an S410 Airarms earlier this year and thats now led on to me getting my FAC too and a new CZ LR American. Have three great permissions (500 acres+), all with high populations of rabbits and wood pigeons. With the CZ Ive a Bushnell 3-9*40 but would like something with a big more mag to help with shot placement at distance. For around £250 what scope would you recommend? Ive been tempted by the Nikko Stirling 4-16*44, as I think youve one of those. Any advice much appreciated. Allan

@HuntersVermin 10 лет назад
Yes i have a 4-16x44 Targetmaster LRX which i do like but it is in 1/8 clicks which takes too long to dial in for different ranges you could also look at the Hawke Airmax 30 range as i liked what i saw at the Midlands game fair but not too sure of these new fine see through cross hairs.

What would we do without duct tape? You can also using flashing. It's soft and malleable.
@HuntersVermin
@HuntersVermin 10 лет назад
Tin601 Yeah that would be even better but it might add weight to the poles.

Is it really worth the effort? Would rather be out shooting and buy a pole they last ages and steel is just too heavy. It cant be worth the saving.
@HuntersVermin
@HuntersVermin 10 лет назад
oowee They are heavier but its just an alternative idea.
