Hey guys! I found this reclaimed wood on facebook marketplace for a great deal and knew I had to make something awesome out of it and you guys voted for the console table over on instagram! I love this piece so much and hope you guys do too and get inspiration for your own projects! See you guys in the next one!

Nice work you two. Tip: If you ever run a large board through your table saw, cross cutting, run it through half way, stop saw, then add a small wood wedge in to the saw's kerf. Then proceed with the final cut. The wedge will prevent the wood from pinching together and causing a nasty kickback.

Thank so much! I really wanted to keep that raw look I got from bleaching the wood and I think that white wax really helped keep the natural look!

Thanks so much! You can definitely just get some boards from the hardware store too and just rough them up some to get a similar look ! But I also see reclaimed lumber pretty frequently on Facebook marketplace!

Noelle, I love your work. You are very talented. I’ve tried your sand-paint technique on a vase and a flower pot. I REALLY love it. I’m a long time viewer, first time commenter and you may already know this but I saw someone blend the wood dust of the project with the wood filler and they were blended very well. No paint needed. Just thought I would share. Keep up the good work and I’ll continue to watch. Take care.

Thank you! The ones I picked up are 9 1/2 inch x 1 1/2 in if you buy them in store they’ll be 10x2’s but you could use something wider if you wanted and it would be really pretty! Definitely not anything more narrow though. And I cut my table top to be 66 inch long and the legs to be 32 in long. Hope that helps!
