That song I would like to have play at my wedding. She adorned with all the jewellery and gold amd and blessings, we then drive out of town heading for Chiswick House. Oh the joy, that perfect tune going around and around in our heads, we stop for gas, the bride goes to powder her nose, oh that wonderful song. Malcky pulls up in his truck, "Here lads, there a lass just ran over the central reservation with toilet roll flying behind her!" She jumped out the toilet window, "quick, bubba, see if the jewels are still in toilet?"

Very good idea, some power resistors are quite pricey, this is a good solution!

im not sure if its that important but its got a good look to it, if it were next to your car amp.

@@taseerahamed8074 Hello, friend from India, our factory does not produce heating coils, our main products are heating pipes and heating equipment, such as air duct heaters, pipeline heaters.

Let me guess... heating element contain nichrome wire. It act as a resistor and strong enough to hold high temperature. Nichrome wire is extremely cheap, you don't need to break down a heating element. Just buy it online.....

Make a heater 220v please. But safe..
@szaki95
@szaki95 4 года назад
Why take it apart? It's already a resistor, just find the right value god damn ...
@AffordBindEquipment
@AffordBindEquipment 4 года назад
the actual resistor wire is inside a ceramic insulator inside the metal tube. so you have to expose the wire to work.
@szaki95
@szaki95 4 года назад
But the ends are exposed, you just have to find the right value heating element.
@AffordBindEquipment

@@szaki95 These usually are from an oven using 220 v. If you need a 1 ohm power resistor, Ohm's law gives you 220 amps. My whole house has a 200 amp breaker. If it's 110v. then you have 110 amps. either way the wiring to the oven/stove would be HUGE. 100 amp service to the stove would take a min. of 2 gauge wire ( or larger for safety) and that's a little over 1/4 thick. And the switch to turn on 100 amps would also be huge, probably a monster magnetic contact switch. So you won't find low resistance power resistors using this method without modification. Cutting them up is the only way to get that small a resistor. What he could do is cut one a certain size and measure that piece and then figure the size he needs from that, without guesswork.

@@AffordBindEquipment ....isn't this exercise a waste of energy? Those Power resisters are gonna get hot, and waste electricity. I don't see any advantage to using them, am I missing something?
@AffordBindEquipment
@AffordBindEquipment 10 месяцев назад
@@Texaca there is nothing in the video or text that says what this is for. Some circuits need huge power resistors of very low resistance. I have some that are HUGE, like 12" long 1" dia ceramic tubes with huge wire wrapped around them. If the circuit needs something that large, nothing else will do. They will only get very hot if the current going through them is very high, like a stove where it turns red. So there isn't a "waste of electricity" Only what is needed will go through it. Larger or smaller, the amount used is the same. It's just the larger size is used just in case high amperage is needed so it doesn't burn up. Power resistors come in a lot of wattage ratings. Actually this is a lot of work but it's a great idea for a high watt resistor.
