I love how you’re a minimalist but you don’t strive to have as least stuff as possible. You still enjoy decorative pieces that last and are sentimental

Hey Ashlynne! I wanted to thank you for sharing with us! I am only 15 (16 next Tuesday!), but I love minimalism and have started my own journey to living intentionally. I find your channel helpful since your husband is not a minimalist, and neither is my family, the hardest part of my journey has been doing it independently since most of my house is not minimal. I have taken inspiration from you, now I only try to control my space and not pressure others to live the same as me. Thank you!
Good job! I was wondering, since you were able to pick out many of the finishes on your house as it was being built, why did you not have it painted the color(s) you actually wanted?
Congrats on reaching 200k subbies. I think it was only about 1/2 year ago when you reached 100k. This is a major accomplishment and just shows the sky’s the limit for you. As for the room, you both did an amazing job! We have a wall painted in Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. In recent years white has become popular again. There was a time when no one painted with white but I like the nice bright and clean feeling it gives. Can’t wait to see what else you do with the house.😊❤️🙏
Good idea to do a room that gets good light white. People think if they paint a dark room white it will brighten it up, but more often it just looks dingy. Oddly, a room with little light can look amazing in a super dark color.
Totally agree! I have a long narrow and dark holl (1,30m wide) and it was so depressing with white walls. We painted it navy blue and i really like it :)

To be honest this kind of minimalism is close to my heart. Everything has a purpose and looks good. There is no useless clutter. I like the idea that everything is a work of process and ideas come and go and environment should support that
I like your idea of using a note book for hard copy. For me it's easier to do that when you are buried deep into the web. I also use 3 ring binders for various projects. Give me a better feeling of organization.

Looks great with the light and openness. Power washing the rug may give it new life. I got a free terribly dirty rug and it was SO satisfying to power wash it, ended up looking like new.
I love the minimum yet essential items you have! I am working towards just having what I want and need in my space and nothing more, which I think is the best thing. I like your cute art on the walls and book arrangement the most because I have a serious book collection. Plus, Christopher is a talented artist!

I actually love hearing other people doing stuff in the background or a dog barking or jumping in the camera shot. To me it adds life to any video (obviously in the right context/not too loud lol) and I love your paint choice! I’ve never painted a room in my life but I want to paint my bedroom so I really appreciated the quick step by step of you painting 👍🏻😊 also I love your Hobbit/Lord of the Rings book collection ❤️ and cool I organize my books by color since I don’t have a ton of books on my shelf.
The rug really does pull the space together! You've inspired me to look for a rug to distinguish my desk space from the rest of the room it's in. Also really liking how you styled the bookshelf. I have a hard time styling my own because my decor pieces don't necessarily go well together, and I'm too stubborn to buy new pieces just to decorate with. 😅
Very cute. Love how it turned out and yes the rug helps visually put the space together. You should also get some curtains to really anchor your desk area. I think that would be the final finishing touch to really make the space.

On a warm sunny day. You can probably get the stains out by vacuuming front/back, bring outside to pretreat the spots, mist rug with vinegar and drop of Dawn, let dwell, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry. Good luck!
